Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signal transduction through receptor tyrosine lcinases VEGF receptor 1, -2 and -3 is of crucial importance for monocytes/macrophages, blood vascular endothelial and lymphatic endothelial cells both in physiology and in a number of pathologies notably cancer.
