Summary: The purpose of this study is to develop and test an integrative model that examines the effects of customization and perceived employee authenticity on customer delight, which in turn influences customers' willingness to recommend and willingness to pay a premium. The study also examines the moderating role of online review valence in this process. The findings confirm the mediating role of customer delight in the relationship between customization, employee authenticity, and customer responses, and also suggest that the impact of employee authenticity may be stronger for consumers exposed to negative online reviews.

Summary: We examine the impact of banks' protected-weekend policies on junior bankers' work schedule and work quality. Using taxi ride data from bank locations in New York City, we find that the policies lead to a shift of work to late-night hours on weekdays. We also find that after the policy implementation, analysts from the affected banks make more errors in their earnings forecasts and tend to follow the consensus more closely. Our findings suggest that junior bankers are particularly negatively affected by the policy.

Summary: This research examines how frontline retail employees respond to customers who they think might write an online review about their experience. It shows that when employees identify potential online review authors, it catalyzes them to deliver better service. However, determination is tempered by two boundary conditions: when employees do not consider being associated with an online review beneficial or feel poorly equipped to serve the customer, then a better service delivery will not occur. The study also suggests that retailers can enhance customer service by promoting the importance of online reviews.

Summary: This research investigates the psychological contracts of customers as partial employees in the retail industry. The findings suggest that customers build a psychological contract with their most frequent retailer, perceiving both the retailer's inducements and their own contributions. Organizational socialization is found to promote psychological contract fulfillment, with different dimensions of socialization influencing employer inducements versus employee contributions. Additionally, the frequency of self-service technology use and patronage positively predicts psychological contract fulfillment.

Summary: This article examines the practices of participants in closing buying-selling encounters in retail shops. It shows how handing over a shopping bag serves as a resource in organizing the closing of the encounter. Additionally, it explores how customers' avoidance of single-use shopping bags due to environmental concerns changes their practices for ending a transaction. Using ethnomethodological conversation analysis, the article explains how customers and sales assistants shape the local order of the shop and bring societal discourses into the encounter through their actions and gestures. The data consists of 22 shopping sequences recorded in Danish shops in 2018.

Summary: Network outages have significant economic and societal costs, and it is important to enhance network resilience by adding cost-efficient, disaster-aware cable connections. The paper introduces algorithms for finding such routes based on empirical hazard data, proving the NP-hardness of the problem and providing exact and heuristic algorithms for solving it. The algorithms are applicable to both planar and geographical coordinates, demonstrating the potential to raise network resilience through cost-effective measures.

Summary: With the increasing attention on sustainability due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a significant rise in interest in the green supply chain. This study, utilizing the resource-based view theory, provides deeper insights into the integration of resource-based characteristics that can facilitate a smooth transition from traditional to green supply chains, as well as enhance the effectiveness of existing green supply chains. The findings confirm the positive associations between supply chain connectivity, supply chain information sharing, top management commitment, green procurement and logistics acceptance, and green supply chain management. Moreover, the study identifies the serial mediation effect of top management commitment and green procurement and logistics acceptance on the relationship between supply chain connectivity and information sharing with green supply chain management. This study offers practical insights and contributes to the development of a novel green supply chain management scale.

Summary: Sustainability has gained more attention after the launch of the sustainable development goals in 2015 and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Supply chain management has become a crucial aspect for businesses to achieve sustainability. In our study, we propose a novel sequence of intangible supply chain resources that can enhance the impact of green supply chain management practices on business performance. Through data analysis of 318 individuals in the UK manufacturing sector, we found a positive direct association between green supply chain management practices and performance, with supply chain visibility and robustness playing a sequential mediational role.

Summary: The present study investigates the difference in green consumption values between male and female consumers and whether this difference can be explained by levels of intrasexual competition. The study finds that male consumers exhibit higher levels of intrasexual competition and have weaker support for green consumption values. Importantly, the study shows that men's inferiority irritation and their propensity to compete with same-sex rivals drive them away from green consumption, while women's weaker willingness to compete with same-sex rivals increases their inclination towards green consumption.
