Summary: There is a lack of clinical guidelines for assessing maladaptive reproductive grief reactions in outpatient primary care and OB-GYN settings in the United States, leading to potential missed or dismissed grief reactions. Prolonged or delayed grief reactions following reproductive losses can contribute to adverse outcomes, highlighting the importance of recognition and treatment in medical settings. Enhancing screening methods for clinicians is crucial for identifying and providing appropriate mental health assistance for patients experiencing reproductive grief.
