A new species, Phaeomonilia nanningensis, is described and illustrated from specimens collected on dead branches in Guangxi Province. The fungus is characterized by ellipsoid, catenate, pale brown to brown conidia formed by thallic disarticulation of fertile branches on macronematous conidiophores. A key to the four described species of Phaeomonilia is also provided. Craspedodidymum abigianense is newly recorded from China.
