Summary: The study highlights the importance of reducing the time to compute new optimal reallocations of defense systems in network security, proposing a heuristic method that utilizes parallel processing for graph analysis. A prototype tool has been developed with a speedup of at least 20 over solving the original problem using a serial algorithm, showcasing insignificant difference in performance between the approximately optimal defense computed in parallel and the optimally computed defense in series. Speedups in the future are expected to come from parallel integer programming algorithms rather than graph partitioning.

Summary: This study addresses the mismatch problem between borrowers' credit scoring and the probability of default (PD) in credit loan decision-making practice. It proposes a credit scoring indicator system by selecting a single indicator with strong default identification ability using the Wald test and determining the optimal combination of indicators with overall default identification ability using Lasso-Logistic regression. The empirical work conducted on Lending Club samples confirms the effectiveness of the proposed credit scoring method. The findings of this study provide references for assisting credit loan decision-making, reducing investment risks for bankers, and alleviating financing problems for borrowers.

Summary: The design of tapered composite fan blades with increased thickness near the root helps carry the load, but also introduces material and geometric discontinuities that can lead to interlayer stresses and damage initiation. A study using high-fidelity finite element modeling and a constitutive equation found that the maximum damage index occurs at the ply interface and resin pocket of the laminates. Static damage and weak-link index assessment were proposed to predict the location of fatigue damage. The study also found that fatigue crack growth rates are sensitive to cyclic loading at the first natural frequency and the weak-link zone appears in the crack growth area.

Summary: This study investigated the diffusion shape and the relation between diffusion radius and time of grouting in tunnel lining cracks. The diffusion equation of grouting in lining cracks was established, and the correlation between experimental and calculated values was analyzed. The results showed that the diffusion shape in tunnel lining cracks can be categorized into circular, excessive, and elliptical zones, and the diffusion equation accurately describes the relationship between diffusion radius and time. These findings provide a theoretical basis for predicting diffusion radius in grouting repair for tunnel lining cracks.
