Summary: This study suggests that there is an association between internalized HIV stigma and depression, and social support moderates this association. The results show that the indirect effect of internalized HIV stigma on depression through resilience is significant for individuals with high social support, but not for those with low social support. To mitigate the negative impact of internalized HIV stigma on the mental health of people living with HIV, intervention efforts should focus on promoting both resilience and social support.

Summary: As life expectancy increases, understanding the mechanism for late-life depression and finding a crucial moderator becomes more important. Childhood adversity increases the risk of clinical depression even in old age. Stress acts as a mediator and social support as a moderator in the pathway from childhood adversity to late-life depression. This study provides empirical evidence for a more detailed mechanism and identifies stress and social support as risk and protective factors respectively.

Summary: The present study aimed to investigate the pharmacological mechanisms involved in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with Xihuang Pill (XHP), a representative anticancer Chinese patented medicine. XHP was found to suppress cancer cell growth in NSCLC by regulating pathways associated with cell proliferation and immunity. In addition, XHP may increase the expression of CACNA1C to suppress immune cell infiltration and regulate the expression of checkpoint-related genes, thereby improving the overall survival of NSCLC patients.
