This study investigates a two-component electroneutral equilibrium complex plasma consisting of finite-sized macroions (each with a charge Z, Z >> 1) and point oppositely charged microions with unit charges. The nonlinear screening effect of macroions is taken into account, and the system pressure is obtained within the framework of the Poisson-Boltzmann approximation using the Wigner-Seitz average cell model. It is found that the pressure and isothermal compressibility obtained are positive for all macroion concentrations.
We consider a two-component electroneutral equilibrium complex plasma of finite-sized macroions (each with a charge Z, Z >> 1) and point oppositely charged microions with unit charges. We take into account a macroions nonlinear screening effect and obtain system pressure in the Wigner-Seitz average cell model within the framework of the Poisson-Boltzmann approximation. It is shown that the obtained pressure and isothermal compressibility are positive over the entire range of macroions concentrations.
