Summary: This paper presents a high-speed counter architecture with a novel LFSR state extension. The proposed counter modifies an m-bit LFSR counter to cover 2(m) states by employing the state extension without degrading the counting rate. It consists of two sub-counters, one implemented with the proposed LFSR counter and the other with a conventional synchronous binary counter, achieving high counting rate and reducing hardware complexity.

Summary: This study successfully developed a method combining high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) with column chromatography to separate and prepare heat-stable antifungal factor (HSAF) from the crude extract of Lysobacter enzymogenes OH11. The HSCCC procedure yielded 42 mg of HSAF with a purity of 97.6% and a recovery of 91.7%. These results are helpful for industrial-scale separation and production of HSAF, and demonstrate the usefulness of HSCCC in isolating bioactive constituents from beneficial microorganisms.

Summary: In this study, high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) was successfully applied to separate dihydromyricetin (DMY) from Ampelopsis grossedentata (AG). The interaction between DMY and corn starch (CS) was investigated, and the effects on the structure and microstructure of starch-based foods were analyzed. The results showed that DMY could change the physical and microstructural properties of CS-based products, which are beneficial for industrial utilization.
