Summary: This bibliometric analysis provides an overview of the current research status in the field of autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) and reveals the dynamic developments and hotspots. The study found that researchers have primarily focused on areas such as apoptosis, insulin resistance, encephalopathy, and IFN-gamma related to AIT in the past 20 years. However, with the emergence of new directions such as papillary thyroid cancer, Vitamin D, oxidative stress, polymorphism, and association, researchers are now more interested in exploring the relationship between papillary thyroid carcinoma and AIT, the impact of vitamin D supplementation on AIT, the role of oxidative stress in thyroid disease, and the influence of polymorphism.
