Summary: An immunochromatographic assay was developed for the rapid and efficient screening of FPF residues in grapes, blueberries, and tomatoes. The assay showed high sensitivity and specificity, with detection limits of 0.009 mg/kg, 0.033 mg/kg, and 0.040 mg/kg for grapes, blueberries, and tomatoes, respectively. The results obtained from the assay were consistent with those obtained from LC-MS/MS analysis.

Summary: In this study, two semi-antigens were designed and a highly specific monoclonal antibody against diquat was obtained. The mAb had a half maximal inhibitory concentration of 0.63 ng mL(-1) and a limit of detection of 0.14 ng mL(-1). An immunochromatographic assay was developed using this specific mAb, with a cut-off value of 0.1 mg kg(-1) in fruit samples, confirming its applicability in real samples. Test strips offer advantages over instrumental methods.

Summary: This study presents a new unconstrained ratiometric signal approach by integrating negative-readout competitive and positive-readout noncompetitive immunoassays into a single assay. The method has been demonstrated to be applicable to fluorescence and colorimetry readouts, and exhibits strong anti-interference ability to external light environment.

Summary: A new method using an immunochromatographic assay (ICA) for the detection of oxadixyl residues in cucumber, tomato, and wine samples was developed in this study. The ICA showed high specificity and sensitivity with a visible limit of detection (vLOD) and cut-off values for the different samples. The results were consistent with those obtained from LC/MS analysis.

Summary: In this study, a hapten of methomyl was designed to generate monoclonal antibodies against methomyl. ELISA and ICA strip were developed using these antibodies to detect methomyl residues. The ELISA results showed that mAb 1D10 had high affinity with an affinity constant of 2.76 x 1010 L/mol and high sensitivity with a limit of detection of 8.12 ng/mL. After optimizing ICA, a visible limit of detection (vLOD) of 100 ng/g and a cut-off value of 500 ng/g for methomyl in cabbage and tomato were obtained. The calculated LODs were 3.2 ng/g and 5.4 ng/g in cabbage and tomato, respectively. Moreover, the results from ICA were consistent with those from ELISA in the recovery assay using spiked samples. Thus, ICA has a promising future for the detection of methomyl in food samples.

Summary: Dermatophytosis is a contagious disease caused by dermatophytes that affects both humans and animals, but there is currently no rapid and accurate diagnostic tool available. This study aims to develop a rapid diagnostic kit based on immunochromatographic assay, which is accurate, sensitive, specific, user-friendly, rapid, robust, device-less, and cost-effective. The kit showed promising diagnostic results within 5-7 minutes through three easy steps.

Summary: A rapid, simple, sensitive, and semi-quantitative lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) was developed for detection of Tadalafil (TDL) in coffee samples, using gold and fluorescence labelled monoclonal antibody (mAb). The LFIA with fluorescence labelled mAb (FLM) was found to be more sensitive than with gold nanoparticles labelled mAb (GLM), with all tests completed within 10 minutes, providing a convenient and rapid option for TDL detection.

Summary: Monoclonal antibodies against pmpamocarb were prepared and a lateral flow immunoassay strip was developed for the detection of propamocarb in tomato and cucumber samples. The immunoassay strip showed a visible limit of detection for propamocarb in food samples and provided accurate quantitative analysis with good recovery rates. These results demonstrate the suitability of the immunoassay strip for detecting propamocarb in fruits and vegetables.
