Summary: This study categorizes the supply chain disturbances affecting high-value manufacturing firms when adopting insourcing/nearshore outsourcing and outsourcing/offshoring strategies. Results show that both product and supply chain managers prefer the insource/nearshore outsource strategy due to the belief that outsourcing/offshoring brings greater disturbances that outweigh the benefits of low-cost production. Mitigation strategies include reshoring, comprehensive consideration of total acquisition costs, and building clusters in emerging markets.

Summary: This paper relies on an extended version of the traditional transaction cost economics (TCE) framework to explain the diversity of governance forms in food supply chains. It explores the existence and empirical diversity of plural forms by considering the interplay between asset specificity and uncertainty. The paper highlights the importance of asset specificity in determining the level of coordination within plural forms and the role of uncertainty in determining the type of plural form.

Summary: The purpose of this research is to use the Analytical Network Process to assist organizations in selecting internal auditors. The researcher developed a model based on systematic extrapolation and deductive scientific research, and applied it to a company listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange as a case study. The study determined the relative weights of different factors for selecting internal auditors and found that Insourcing had the highest rank with a rate of 39.20%, followed by Co Sourcing with 37.36%, and Outsourcing with 23.43%. Sensitivity analysis was also performed to evaluate the impact of changing the relative importance of a key factor on the selection order.

Summary: Based on a survey of 223 board members of Iraqi medium-sized enterprises, this study investigates the perceptions of the board members on how board information technology governance mechanisms affect their companies' performance with the help of IT capabilities as a mediator. The results show a significant direct and indirect positive relationship between board IT governance structure and board IT governance relational with firm performance through IT capabilities, while IT capabilities do not interfere with the relationship between board IT governance processes mechanisms and firm performance. The study contributes to IT business literature by addressing new relationships and providing empirical evidence to explain inconsistent and mixed results of prior studies.

Summary: This study examines the impact of a franchisee's operating experience on performance, focusing on the differential effects of local experience, intensity and heterogeneity of distant experience. Customer satisfaction is proposed as a key intervening mechanism, with customer diversity as a contextual condition. The analysis of McDonald's chain stores reveals that greater local experience and higher heterogeneity of distant experience improve store survival and sales growth, while higher intensity of distant experience impairs performance, moderated by customer diversity.

By analyzing data from 281 US franchise chains, the study discovers that contractual incompleteness has a positive impact on chainwide adaptation, leading to revenue growth that surpasses rival chains.
