The taxonomy of the Pheidole pulchella species group in the Afrotropical region has been updated in this study, with the description of a new species P. klaman sp. nov. An updated identification key for the entire group and the known distribution ranges of its members have been integrated into the existing taxonomic system. High-quality focus stacking images and X-ray micro-CT scanned digital 3D representations of major and minor worker type specimens are provided.
