Summary: Environmental sustainability and public health are at risk due to the agri-food system, and transforming it to be more efficient, healthy, and sustainable is essential. This study examines farmers' intention to adopt Eco-breeding, a Chinese sustainable agricultural practice, taking into account self-interest, altruism, and social pressures. The findings show that subjective norms are the strongest predictors, while perceived values and personal norms have positive effects. Personal norms are driven by consequences awareness and responsibility. Importantly, personal norms and subjective norms moderate the negative effects of perceived risks on intention. Guidelines for effective promotion policies are provided.

Summary: This conceptual paper proposes a posthumanist practice approach as an alternative onto-epistemological framework for economics education by examining the foundations of mainstream economics education and its negative impact on sustainable development goals. The posthumanist practice approach aims to provide a more holistic and contextualized understanding of human behavior and economic realities, emphasizing practical learning and recognizing the role of interdependent human/nonhuman relations in shaping economic knowledge. Guidelines for implementing this approach in economics education include diversifying learning environments, community and nature engagement, and revising the role of educators.

Summary: This study uses complex network statistics to identify key chokepoints in the agri-food supply chains of the United States, which may have significant impacts on food security. The agricultural and food systems of the United States are crucial for the stability of domestic and global food systems, thus understanding the resilience of these supply chains is essential. The study identifies consistent chokepoints across time and scales, such as Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles in California, Shelby in Tennessee, Maricopa in Arizona, and Cook in Illinois.

Summary: This study examines the impact of corporate environmental performance (CEP) and corporate social performance (CSP) on the stability of the banking industry. The research finds that CEP is negatively related to bank stability, but the impact is not significant for small banks, large banks, and banks in countries with low environmental scores. Furthermore, CSP does not appear to have a significant relationship with bank stability, except for the aspect of financial product safety. The results are robust to various econometric specifications and have important policy implications for investors, bankers, and regulators.

Summary: This article outlines the media and thematic framework of the right-wing pro-government media in Poland from 2016 to 2020 in describing environmentalists, and explains the main ideological conflicts in ecology. Additionally, it shows how conservative stereotypes about the environmental movement influence the opinions of Polish society. The author argues that the anti-ecological phobias of the right-wing Law and Justice (PiS) government have politicized environmental issues and revived ecological conflicts. The presented results demonstrate the importance of cultural, political, and spatial dimensions for the development of the environmental movement in Poland.

Summary: The article aims to analyze the factors that influence entrepreneurs' decisions to invest in renewable energy. It identifies various factors that may affect the transformation of entrepreneurs into business prosumers, who aim to mitigate the impact of rising energy prices. The article argues that, in addition to economic, technological, and psychological dimensions, legal and political stability, access to reliable information, and the level of trust in society are equally significant. Based on quantitative research results, the article identifies key elements in entrepreneurs' decision-making on investments in renewable energy and highlights the institutions responsible for energy transition implementation according to Polish entrepreneurs. The article also emphasizes the importance of information on funding opportunities from the European Union and the government, government energy policies, and technological possibilities in entrepreneurs' decisions to invest in renewable energy in Poland. Implementing sustainable development goals becomes challenging without a trustful atmosphere and predictable legal stability for entrepreneurs to conduct their businesses.

Summary: The aim of this article is to analyze the relationship between the sense of social security and the anticipated socio-economic deprivation in the Turoszow Basin in Poland. The article highlights the close relationship between economic challenges, threats to social security, and attitudes towards climate and environmental issues among coal basin residents. Based on surveys of 1000 people, the author argues that energy transition cannot be simply seen as a technological change or regional economic transformation resulting from decarbonization, particularly in mining-dependent regions. The results show that the current economic situation and anticipated material situation after the closure of the mine and implementation of energy transition greatly influence attitudes towards transition goals and perception of climate change and the mining industry's negative effects.

Summary: Drip irrigation has the potential to greatly benefit smallholders in Sub-Saharan Africa, but its diffusion and adoption are limited due to key barriers. Donor-led and government-supported irrigation projects have been the main focus of drip irrigation implementation. This study examines actions to overcome these barriers and explores the role of donors in facilitating adoption. Analysis of policy reports and aid databases reveals a focus on improving farmers' skills, connecting them to markets, and enhancing extension services, but less attention is given to improving supply chains for irrigation equipment and farm inputs. The study recommends taking a system-oriented perspective in future donor interventions, considering market conditions for finance and agricultural inputs and outputs.

Summary: The aim of this article is to demonstrate how soft power can be used to shape energy policy and create public approval for controversial activities. The author analyzes media coverage on nuclear energy in Poland from 2015 to 2021, examining the market value of the coverage and identifying key narratives and arguments supporting nuclear energy. The use of soft power is particularly relevant in the context of energy policy debates and the energy crisis, as it allows for an examination of the dominant messages, the direction of energy policy development, and the social attitudes shaped by soft power mechanisms.
