Summary: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between clinicopathological features, prognosis, and preoperative thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb) status in children and adolescents with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). The results showed that the presence of preoperative TPOAb and TgAb could serve as novel prognostic factors for predicting recurrence of PTC in children.

Summary: This study identified potential biomarkers in thyroid-specific cfRNA that could track residual thyroid mass post-treatment, with TPO cfRNA showing promise as an early indicator of remnant thyroid tissue volume. The quantifiable decrease in cfRNA transcripts (TPO, GFRA2, IVD, TG) post-treatment suggests their utility in determining residual thyroid tissue. The cfRNA could be optimized for quantification of thyroid volume to guide RAI doses and detection of thyroid cancer recurrence.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the significance of antithyroglobulin and antithyroid peroxidase antibody levels in patients with well-differentiated thyroid cancer. Results showed that elevated TgAb levels were associated with nodal metastases and ENE, while elevated TPOAb levels were correlated with lower T and N stages.

Summary: About 30% of patients with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) experience persistent or recurrent disease within 10 years after initial treatment. However, the measurement of serum thyroglobulin (Tg) is unreliable in the presence of anti-thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb). This pilot study investigated the potential of circulating miRNA as valuable biomarkers for the early detection of persistent disease in TgAb-positive PTC patients. The findings indicate that serum miRNA kinetics may provide additional and independent information for the early detection of persistent disease in PTC patients with uninformative Tg results.

Summary: This study investigates the diagnostic value of thyroglobulin (Tg) and anti-thyroglobulin antibody (anti-TgAb) combined with emission computed tomography (ECT) in the adjuvant diagnosis of differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC). The results show that the combination of Tg, anti-TgAb, and ECT has higher consistency and accuracy in DTC diagnosis, effectively improving the diagnostic accuracy and reducing the missed diagnosis rate.

Summary: This multicenter study aimed to evaluate the relationship between preablation thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb) positivity and clinical outcomes in pediatric patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). The study analyzed PTC patients 18 years or younger who underwent total thyroidectomy and radioiodine ablation at 3 tertiary hospitals in southwestern China. The results showed no association between preablation TgAb positivity and clinical outcome in pediatric patients with PTC.

Summary: This study analyzed the detection of thyroglobulin (Tg) and anti-Tg antibody (TgAb) in fine-needle aspiration (FNA) of cervical lymph nodes (LN-FNA-Tg and LN-FNA-TgAb) to predict LN metastasis and determine the best cutoff value. The results showed that LN-FNA-Tg had high accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity for detecting cervical lymph nodes in patients with papillary thyroid cancer.

Summary: This study evaluated the predictive value of clinical and pathological characteristics for metastatic RAIR-DTC, finding that factors such as age, extrathyroid invasion, gene mutations, and response to RIT could predict the risk of RAIR-DTC in both TgAb-negative and TgAb-positive patients.

Summary: To investigate the association between thyroid autoimmunity (TAI) and ovarian reserve decline in euthyroid women, a case-control study was conducted. The results showed that TAI was not associated with low ovarian reserve in the whole population of euthyroid women, but it was significantly associated with overt premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) in women with TSH > 2.5 mu IU/ml.

Summary: This study reveals distinct distributions of TgAb IgG1 glycosylation in various thyroid diseases. The abnormally elevated glycosylation levels of TgAb IgG1 observed in HT, PTC, and PTC-T may indicate immune disorders and involvement in the pathogenesis of these diseases.
