Summary: The study suggests that culturing post-thaw cleavage embryos for 2 days and transferring them as blastocysts may increase the chances of ongoing pregnancy and delivery compared to transferring thawed blastocysts directly.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the impact of cryo-storage duration on clinical, obstetric and perinatal outcomes after vitrified-warmed euploid blastocyst transfer. It concluded that cryo-storage duration does not affect these outcomes.

Summary: This study found that the mitochondrial DNA content in the trophoblast was associated with the developmental potential and reproductive outcomes of embryos. The mitochondrial DNA ratio differed significantly between embryos with different days of blastocyst formation and different expansion stages. The timing of embryo development was an important factor influencing the mitochondrial DNA content.

Summary: This study investigated the changes in the transcriptome of pig blastocysts caused by vitrification using the OC and SOPS systems. The results showed that vitrification with the OC system resulted in fewer genes related to apoptosis and activated genes related to cell proliferation compared to the SOPS system. However, further investigation is needed to understand how these transcriptome differences affect the subsequent developmental ability of the embryos after transfer.

Summary: This study compared the reproductive outcomes of once and twice vitrified-warmed embryo transfers and found no significant difference in pregnancy rate, clinical pregnancy rate, and live birth rate between the two methods. Age, embryo quality, and the duration of biopsy were factors associated with the success of the transfer.

Summary: After single euploid FBT, BMI and number of previous miscarriages are predictors of miscarriage. Lifestyle interventions before FBT may decrease miscarriage rates.

Summary: Embryo vitrification can lead to changes in gene expression in in vitro-produced bovine embryos at the blastocyst stage. RNA-seq analysis revealed specific pathways and gene expression patterns affecting embryo developmental competence after vitrification, such as alterations in epithelial adherens junctions, sirtuin signaling, and mitochondrial dysfunction pathways. This study highlights the importance of understanding the impact of cryopreservation on gene expression for embryo development.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the relationship between endometrial thickness changes and pregnancy outcomes in single frozen-thawed euploid blastocyst transfer cycles. The results showed that there was no statistically significant correlation between endometrial thickness change ratio and pregnancy outcomes.

Summary: The study found that the open Cryotop (R) system is suitable for simultaneous vitrification of 20 porcine embryos at different developmental stages. The viability and quality results of embryos vitrified with this system were comparable to those of fresh embryos subjected to 24 hours of in vitro culture.

Summary: The study found that for women of all ages, the sustained implantation rates for day 5 good quality blastocysts were higher than for day 5 fair, day 5 poor, and day 6 blastocysts. There were also higher sustained implantation rates for younger patients compared to older patients when controlling for morphology and day of biopsy, showing that age plays a significant role in the success of implantation.

Summary: The study showed that frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles have a lower incidence of ectopic pregnancy compared to fresh cycles. Blastocyst embryo transfers were associated with a decreased risk of ectopic pregnancy, while hormone replacement cycles showed a similar risk as natural cycles. Endometrial preparation protocols using clomiphene were significantly associated with an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy in frozen embryo transfer cycles.

Summary: This study investigated the reproductive potential of embryos that undergo preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A) in infertility patients with slow embryo development. The study found that day 7 embryos resulted in lower implantation and live birth rates compared to day 5 and day 6 embryos. Day 7 embryos with expansion grade 5 or 6 and trophectoderm grade A were more likely to be euploid. These findings can help manage patient expectations in cases of slow embryo development.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of vitrification on the transcriptome profile of porcine blastocysts. The results showed that vitrification altered the gene expression of blastocysts, with minor changes mainly related to cell cycle, cellular senescence, gap junction, and signaling pathways.
