Summary: In this study, the goal-directed use of hydroxyethyl starch was found to impair fibrin polymerization when compared with lactated Ringer's solution, but the effects were transient and normalized within 24 hours postoperatively. There were no significant differences in plasma fibrinogen levels or blood loss between the two groups.

Summary: The study showed that in gynecologic oncology patients with acute blood loss and severe fluid loss, Goal-Directed Fluid Management can reduce complication rates and ICU admission rates. The hemodynamic findings and lactate levels of the GDFM group remained stable during the perioperative period, resulting in better outcomes compared to the LFM group.

Summary: Irrespective of the amount of perioperative fluid administered, the goal-directed therapy strategy reduces postoperative complications, but does not reduce perioperative mortality. Overall, the GDT approach can lower the overall rate of postoperative complications, regardless of the total amount of fluid infused during the perioperative period.

Summary: Existing dialog systems mainly focus on reactive social bonding or task assistance, but this work explores the under-explored proactive dialog paradigm of goal-directed dialog systems. A target-driven planning network (TPNet) is proposed to guide the system in achieving a predetermined topic through smooth topic transitions. TPNet frames the planning process as a sequence generation task, and is applied with planned content to guide dialog generation. Extensive experiments show that TPNet significantly improves the performance of goal-directed dialog systems.

Summary: Goal-directed fluid therapy (GDFT) is an important approach for patients undergoing major surgery and is also crucial in enhancing recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols. GDFT aims to optimize patients' cardiac output using dynamic hemodynamic parameters, but there is currently no consensus on which parameters to use. Additionally, there are various commercialized hemodynamic monitoring systems available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. This review focuses on discussing and reviewing the commonly used dynamic hemodynamic parameters and monitoring systems for GDFT.

Summary: A versatile luminescent organo-inorganic layered hybrid material was formed by BSA-protected Au-30 clusters and aminoclay sheets, with X-ray diffraction confirming the intercalation of clusters into the layered superstructure. The material exhibited mechanical stretching without fracture, and a mechanochromic luminescence response was demonstrated during the stretching process, showing an increased luminescence peak intensity with greater elongation.
