Summary: This study compared the surgical outcomes and cost-effectiveness of using myoma screw (MS) and uterine manipulator (UM) during total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH). The use of MS resulted in significantly shorter operation time and affordable costs compared to UM for uterine manipulation during TLH. It is a safe and cost-effective alternative to the use of UM during TLH.

Summary: This study demonstrated improved techniques and safety measures for total laparoscopic hysterectomy for a severely enlarged uterus. The surgery was successful with minimal blood loss and complications. The video illustrates the use of various techniques for improved visualization, hemostasis, and manipulation in total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Summary: TLH outcomes are best when the uterine weight is less than 500 g, with shorter operation times and lower blood loss. MRI detection shows that myomas tend to be restricted within the sacral promontory in patients with a uterine weight less than 500 g.

Summary: VANH is a minimally invasive surgical technique using natural body orifices such as the vagina. It offers advantages over total laparoscopic hysterectomy, including no visible scars, less blood loss, shorter surgery time, and the ability to perform surgeries in a day-care setting. This study aims to compare VANH and VH in terms of same-day discharge, complications, surgical outcomes, postoperative recovery, quality of life, costs, and cost-effectiveness.

Summary: Uterine fibromas are common benign tumors that can cause various clinical problems and require effective gynecological intervention. Laparoscopic surgery is the preferred method, and special systems for contained morcellation have been developed to reduce the risk of complications.

Summary: Kinesthetic learning using a low-cost simulated pelvic model can reduce unnecessary movements and is more effective for novice learners when learning uterine manipulation maneuvers of a laparoscopic hysterectomy. Additionally, participants in the intervention group reported higher perceived preparedness.

Summary: This study compared the survival outcomes of ARH, LRH, and VALRH in cervical cancer patients. The results showed that LRH had significantly higher local pelvic recurrence rates and overall recurrence rates compared to ARH. VALRH could achieve the same tumor prognosis as open surgery by avoiding tumor intraperitoneal exposure.

Summary: Comparing radical trachelectomy with radical hysterectomy in early-stage cervical cancer patients, both procedures show similar oncological outcomes. However, radical hysterectomy patients experienced worse total pelvic scores postoperatively compared to preoperatively, while urinary dysfunction was more common in the hysterectomy group. Both groups had comparable scores for bladder, bowel, prolapse, and sexual function preoperatively.

Summary: Laparoscopic hysterectomy provides better outcomes compared to abdominal hysterectomy, with less pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recoveries. However, vaginal hysterectomy, despite being less expensive and faster, may still have advantages in certain low-resource settings.

Summary: This study clarified the clinical characteristics and laparoscopic surgical outcomes of dermoid cysts complicated by spontaneous rupture. Patients with ruptured cysts had significantly higher levels of CRP, CA125, CA19-9, and SCC. Laparoscopic surgery was a feasible option, but in cases with difficult adhesiolysis, prompt laparotomic conversion should be considered. Refractory chemical peritonitis may occur after successful surgical management.
