Summary: The study investigated the relationship between the demographic and professional composition of MSSP ACO governing boards and the public outcomes. It found that higher physician participation on boards was associated with lower unplanned admission rates for patients, while the number of women on the board did not show any significant impact on outcomes.

Summary: People identifying as LGBTQIA+ with Parkinson's disease experience discrimination in accessing health care, with younger age at diagnosis and lower income compared to cisgender heterosexual men. Women and LGBTQIA+ PwP report greater discrimination than cisgender heterosexual men, and LGBTQIA+ PwP are more likely to report that their gender or sexual orientation affects how they are treated. Health care providers should provide inclusive and welcoming environments for PwP.

Summary: This study evaluates the prevalence and causal relationship between Parkinsonism and multiple sclerosis (MS). The results show that Parkinsonism is rare in MS patients, with most cases being incidental. However, clinicians should be aware of the entity of demyelination-related chronic symptomatic parkinsonism in patients with progressive MS phenotypes and specific brain lesions.

Summary: Sex differences in presentation and management are present in previously healthy febrile children with respiratory symptoms attending European Emergency Departments. Girls are less likely to present with certain symptoms but receive more frequent antibiotic treatment. Future research should investigate whether these differences are related to clinicians' attitudes and disease severity.

Summary: This cross-sectional study aimed to examine the influence of author gender on authorship positions in the top 100 most cited articles in dentistry. The gender of the first and last author was determined using the Genderize database, and a Chi-Square test was conducted to compare gender distribution. The results showed significant differences in gender distribution for both first and last authors, with a predominance of male authors. Only 15% and 12.6% of the most highly cited dental research papers had a female first and last author, respectively.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the risk factors, clinical correlates, and social functions of drug-induced parkinsonism (DIP) in Chinese schizophrenia patients. It found that age, high D2 receptor antagonist antipsychotic dose, and valproate dose were risk factors for DIP. DIP was significantly correlated with psychiatric symptoms and social performance. Rational application or discontinuation of valproate is necessary, and early intervention and treatment of DIP can improve schizophrenia patients' prognosis and social performance.

Summary: The Mediterranean and Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay diets are associated with a reduced risk of Parkinson's disease diagnosis. This study found that higher scores on the MIND and MEDI scales are associated with fewer patient-reported symptoms over time, with the MIND diet being more effective in reducing symptom severity.

Summary: This study examines the impact of gender-affirming facial feminization surgery (FFS) on psychosocial outcomes in patients with gender dysphoria. Using validated instruments, the study found that patients who underwent FFS reported improved scores in anxiety, anger, depression, positive affect, meaning and purpose, global mental health, and social isolation. Furthermore, completion of FFS was independently predictive of improved psychosocial functioning. The results of this study suggest that gender-affirming FFS enhances the quality of life in transfeminine patients.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the levels and clinical significance of serum SIRT1 in Parkinson's disease (PD) and Vascular parkinsonism (VP). The results showed that the mean age and UPDRSIII score of VP patients were significantly higher compared with PD patients, while the MMSE score of VP patients was significantly lower. The serum SIRT1 levels of VP patients were remarkably lower than PD patients or healthy individuals. Additionally, SIRT1 was found to be associated with disease severity and could potentially serve as a diagnostic biomarker for VP.

Summary: In this study, response-adapted therapy for intermediate-risk HL in children and adolescents was evaluated, with a focus on subsequent malignant neoplasms (SMNs). The analysis showed a 10-year cumulative incidence of SMN at 1.3%, with RT, B symptoms, and race being associated with increased SMN risk. Avoidance of RT while maintaining disease control should be a goal for future therapeutic approaches.

Summary: This study tested the psychometric properties of the Rainbow Model of Integrated Care Measurement Tool (provider version) for healthcare professionals involved in Parkinson's disease (PD) care. The results showed good construct validity and internal consistency reliability for the provider version of the RMIC-MT, with nine factors and 42 items identified by exploratory factor analysis. These findings provide evidence for the effectiveness of the RMIC-MT in measuring integrated care for PD patients.
