Summary: Reciprocating instruments show decreased cyclic fatigue resistance when operated in canals with coronal- and middle-third curvatures compared to apical-third curvatures. Reciproc Blue demonstrates superior fatigue resistance compared to WaveOne and Reciproc at all tested curvature locations. The DSC thermograms for Reciproc Blue indicate a two-step phase transformation process during heating from martensite to R-phase to austenite.

Summary: This study compared the torsional resistances and fracture modes of WaveOne Gold and Reciproc Blue, finding that Reciproc Blue showed a higher number of repetitive load cycles until fracture in the RTL method and also had a higher ultimate strength than WaveOne Gold in the STL method.

Summary: This study compared two reciprocating NiTi systems operated by novices in curved root canals and found that both systems left similar amounts of un-instrumented canal wall, and resulted in similar extent of canal transportation. The majority of canals were transported towards the isthmus or furcation aspect, with remaining dentine wall thinnest at the furcal aspect near the middle root region.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate changes in canal volume after root canal preparation using 3 different single-file techniques. Results showed that Reciproc-Blue had the highest increase in canal volume, followed by WaveOne-Gold, while XP-EndoShaper did not significantly increase canal volume during preparation.

Summary: This study compared the retreatment of oval canals filled with gutta-percha and different sealers using WaveOne Gold. The results showed that the retreatment time was shorter with TotalFill bioceramic sealer compared to AH Plus, while AH Plus had a higher maximum apical load. The maximum coronal load and torque values were similar between the two sealers. TotalFill bioceramic sealer achieved apical patency in all samples, while AH Plus only achieved it in 75% of the samples. The remaining obturating materials were comparable between the two sealers. WOG was effective in removing obturating materials from both sealers.

Summary: The study evaluated two different kinematics during the retreatment process to remove root canal filling materials and found that the use of CanalPro Jeni kinematics significantly accelerated the removal process. Regardless of the type of filling materials used, there were no significant differences in apical extrusion weight between the groups using different filling techniques. The innovative CanalPro Jeni kinematics proved to be efficient in reducing retreatment time and weight of apically extruded debris during root canal procedures.

Summary: The present study aimed to measure the number of cycles to fracture (NCF) of different instruments using pecking motion at constant and varying distances of movement at body temperature. The WaveOne Gold had the highest NCF, while the ProTaper Universal had the lowest NCF. Manufacturer brands and the modes of displacement of the experimental instrument showed interactive effects.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the cyclic fatigue resistance of Reciproc R25 and Reciproc Blue R25 instruments in traditional and ultraconservative endodontic access cavities. The results showed that R25B had significantly higher cyclic fatigue resistance than R25, but when used in ultraconservative access cavities, both instruments showed decreased resistance.

Summary: This study evaluated the effectiveness of WaveOne Gold and Reciproc single file systems compared to the Twisted File Adaptive multiple file system in reducing microbial load and cleaning of the apical third. The results showed that there were no significant differences in reducing microbial load and cleaning the apical third among the three different instrumentation systems, when using the same irrigant.

Summary: The aim of this study was to explain the mechanical differences between EdgeTaper Platinum (ETP) and ProTaper Gold (PTG) and the composition of their alloys. The results showed that ETP F2 had higher cyclic fatigue resistance and bending ability than PTG F2, while PTG had higher torsional resistance. DSC and EDX analysis also confirmed the differences between the two alloys.

Summary: The high-cycle fatigue properties of metallic thin films, especially their relation to creep behavior, were investigated. Cyclic testing on gold thin films showed that the lifetime decreases with increasing stress amplitude and temperature. Strain accumulation is mainly attributed to cyclic creep, and creep becomes more pronounced at higher temperatures. The study suggests that the fatigue lifetime of gold thin films is closely connected to their creep properties.

Summary: This study evaluated the effectiveness of three rotary, single-file, and reciprocating systems in the preparation of highly curved root canals. The results showed that the Reciproc Blue and WaveOne Gold systems were more effective in maintaining canal centralization compared to the AF Blue R3 system. In terms of preparation time, the WaveOne Gold system had the shortest time among the investigated groups.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the shaping abilities of OneReci and WOG systems and evaluate the effect of increased apical enlargement on preparation quality. The results showed that both systems performed similarly and safely in the size 25 instrument preparation stage, but using a size 35 instrument in the WOG system resulted in significantly higher dentin removal, volume increase, and prepared surface area. The differences in canal transportation and centering ratio were not significant.

Summary: This study compared the shaping ability of two NiTi systems (2Shape and NeoNiTi) in severely curved root canals using micro-CT. The results showed no significant differences between the two systems in terms of dentin removal volume, canal transportation, and centering ability. NeoNiTi instruments produced more centered preparation and minimal canal deviation compared to the 2Shape system, demonstrating their effectiveness in preparing severely curved canals.
