Summary: This article reports a case of a 49-year-old female patient who was admitted to the hospital due to the discovery of pulmonary nodules. Pathological examination after wedge resection biopsy showed lymphocytic infiltration in the pulmonary interstitium, with scattered lymphoid follicles. The patient did not receive specific treatment and follow-up chest CT showed no significant abnormalities in the lungs 6 months after surgery. This indicates that the ground glass nodule on chest CT may be an early manifestation of idiopathic lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia.

Summary: Extraintestinal manifestations are common in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, but respiratory involvement is less common. Vedolizumab, a new anti-integrin biological agent, can rarely lead to eosinophilic pneumonia.

Summary: The study indicates that VRS can differentiate patients with UIP histological features from non-IPF diagnosis in CT images, showing predictive value. The sensitivity and specificity of VRS in predicting pathological UIP are comparable to standard qualitative CT assessment.

Summary: We report a case of a 35-year-old patient with no medical history who experienced hemopneumothorax due to altitude barotrauma during a commercial flight. CT scan revealed the presence of right hydropneumothorax and emphysema blebs and bubbles. After a drain tube was inserted and the patient returned to the country, they were later diagnosed with right-sided pleurisy. Surgical intervention and biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of desquamative interstitial pneumonia (DIP).

Summary: The study found that there was no significant increase in hospitalization and death rates for COVID-19 in patients with chronic plaque psoriasis receiving biologic therapies compared to the general population. Therefore, discontinuation of biologic therapies is not advised to prevent COVID-19 in these patients.

Summary: The study investigates whether a CT-based radiomics approach can accurately identify patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and interstitial lung diseases (ILD) associated with IPF. The results show that radiomic features can discriminate different types of ILD via HRCT, reducing the need for unnecessary lung biopsies.

Summary: The study compared characteristics of fibrotic interstitial pneumonia in patients with and without cicatricial organising pneumonia (ciOP). Among 121 patients, 39.7% had ciOP, which did not lead to acute exacerbation but was associated with more severe diffusion impairment that significantly improved after treatment.

Summary: In this case report, a 75-year-old woman with pseudophakia, type 2 diabetes, and COPD presented with intraocular inflammation and palpable purpura associated with Pasteurella multocida pneumonia. With appropriate antibiotic and steroid therapy, the patient experienced full recovery of skin, lung, and eye lesions. A multidisciplinary approach is essential for accurate diagnosis and management of such cases.

Summary: Almost one-third of fibrosing ILD (fILDs) have a clinical disease behavior similar to IPF, but there are no globally accepted criteria on the definition of a progressive phenotype in non-IPF fILD. Different definitions identify different groups of patients with progressive fILD, which may have important prognostic and therapeutic implications.
