Summary: This study investigated the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid (HA) for lip augmentation through meta-analysis and systematic review and found that HA injection is an efficient method for increasing lip fullness for at least up to 6 months after augmentation. The majority of treatment-related adverse effects were mild or moderate, with a small number of serious adverse effects identified. More well-designed randomized controlled trials are still needed to strengthen the existing evidence.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the non-inferiority of using a cannula versus a needle to inject Resilient Hyaluronic Acid 4 (RHA 4) filler for the treatment of moderate to severe nasolabial folds. The results showed that the efficacy and safety of the cannula treatment were equivalent to the needle treatment. Therefore, under the guidance of trained practitioners, RHA 4 can be safely and effectively injected into the nasolabial folds using either a cannula or a needle.
