Summary: Covellite flotation can be influenced by collector type and dosage, while high PAX concentration and low pH are suitable for bulk flotation, and low IPETC dosage and high pH are optimal for selective flotation. Selective flotation of covellite is feasible with IPETC at alkaline pH with low dosage, while bulk flotation is achievable with PAX at pH 8 with high collector concentration. Covellite recovery remains constant over a wide range of pH values, allowing for selective separation from other sulfides such as pyrite.

Summary: Graphite-based materials have gained significant attention and rapid development in the ore industry due to their structure and excellent conductivity. However, there is still a lack of a complete industrial chain from raw materials to commercial products. To accelerate the industrialization process, optimizing the beneficiation process is crucial for improving the valuable minerals by addressing the differences in their physical and chemical properties. This review focuses on the standard beneficiation methods and presents a comprehensive flotation process for high-quality graphite flake, and also discusses the energy storage applications of graphite-based materials.

Summary: Ilmenite is an essential mineral for titanium extraction. Flotation has been applied in dressing plants for the recovery of fine ilmenite. The interactions between reagent groups and Ti/Fe sites on the ilmenite surface play a critical role in ilmenite flotation. Activators, mostly metal ions including lead ions, promote ilmenite flotation by increasing active sites on the surface. Combined reagents show better selectivity in ilmenite separation due to their synergistic effect. This study discusses reagent types and action mechanisms in ilmenite flotation and proposes a future outlook based on previous research.

Summary: Lithium-bearing polymetallic pegmatite ores, known as LPPO, are valuable raw materials for lithium extraction due to their high lithium content and presence of associated elements like beryllium, tantalum, and niobium. This paper discusses the geological aspects of LPPO deposits in China and explores Chinese experiences in the beneficiation of LPPOs, focusing on the flotation separation of lithium-beryllium minerals. The main target mineral for lithium is spodumene, while beryl is the main Be-bearing mineral. Tantalum and niobium minerals are recovered through gravity or magnetic separation. Gangue minerals consist mainly of albite and quartz. Flotation is the main method for separating fine-grained beryl and spodumene, with the selection of suitable pretreatment methods and flotation reagents being crucial for successful separation.
