Summary: This study investigated the genetic variation of the lncRNA CDKN2B-AS1 SNPs and its regulation on the invasion and metastasis of Breast cancer. The findings suggest that CDKN2B-AS1 gene polymorphism may be associated with the susceptibility of BC, and the rs10965215 A/G genotype of CDKN2B-AS1 may affect the proliferation, invasion, and migration of BC cells by modulating the interactions with miR-4440.

Summary: The study showed that the BCAR4 gene variant rs13334967 is associated with lower breast cancer risk, and individuals carrying the AT and TT genotypes have lower BCAR4 mRNA expression compared to those with the AA genotype. This suggests that BCAR4 may be a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for breast cancer.

Summary: The study found that the polymorphism rs61396151 in the SNHG5 gene is associated with a decreased risk of gastric cancer, but not with clinicopathological features. However, it was associated with overall survival rate, which was reversed after adjustments.

Summary: Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in females worldwide, with a complex interaction of variables like lifestyle, climate, genetics, and reproductive factors. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in breast cancer development, with their polymorphisms predictive of cancer incidence and useful for early detection and customized therapy. Further large-scale trials and functional assessments are needed to validate the results and shed light on the etiology of breast cancer.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the glutaminase (GLS) gene with lung cancer susceptibility in the Chinese Han population. The results showed that GLS rs143584207 and rs6713444 were significantly associated with lung cancer susceptibility. Further subgroup and clinical information analyses revealed that these SNPs could reduce lung cancer susceptibility in different subgroups and had a protective effect on non-smokers and patients with advanced lung cancer. The findings suggest that GLS SNPs could be potential markers for the timely treatment of lung cancer in the Chinese Han population.

Summary: Through a study on genetic polymorphisms, we found significant associations between breast cancer risk and SNPs rs12493607 (TGFBR2), rs4784227 (CASC16), and rs2046210 (ESR1) in the Chinese female population. Further analysis revealed associations between different subtypes of breast cancer and different SNPs. These findings provide important insights into breast cancer susceptibility and personalized treatment.
