Summary: Differences in physiology were found between COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients with ARDS, with higher C-RS in COVID-19 patients initially. The relationship between C-RS and oxygenation was only seen in non-COVID-19 patients on day 1. Both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients showed similar C-RS and VR at day 7.

Summary: In the past 20 years, G-CSFs have become the main treatment option for neutropenia patients. Current G-CSFs require daily injections, which are inconvenient and costly. Development of long-acting G-CSFs with improved efficacy has been possible due to increased understanding of their structure, expression, and clearance mechanism. Various conjugation techniques, such as PEGylation and glycosylation, have successfully increased the half-lives of G-CSFs. The importance of this review lies in highlighting different strategies and techniques used to increase the half-life of biotherapeutic G-CSFs and their benefits and limitations.

Summary: Infection with SARS-CoV-2 during pregnancy can lead to severe conditions, and ECMO may be introduced as a last option. This case study demonstrates successful use of ECMO in a pregnant woman with acute respiratory distress syndrome in the course of severe COVID-19, delivering a premature newborn without evidence of COVID-19 infection. Further research is needed to understand the placental disorders associated with COVID-19 and evaluate the safety of ECMO treatment in pregnant women.

Summary: The management of patients with advanced non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) has undergone significant changes in recent years, including changes in staging, the emergence of new drugs, and advancements in radiotherapy and surgical techniques. While these developments have improved treatment options for lung cancer patients, the optimal treatment strategy for patients with oligometastatic NSCLC remains uncertain. This article aims to provide clinicians with a practical guide for the treatment of oligometastatic patients in routine clinical practice.

Summary: This study identified a SNP, rs2291007, in the conserved region of the 3'UTR of the FNIP2 gene that is associated with multiple leanness parameters.
