Summary: Recent advancements in the web have allowed users to generate multimedia content, leading to a proliferation of multimedia information. While existing search engines provide access to multimedia content through media-specific results, this decentralized approach requires manual aggregation and synthesis by users, hindering the information exploration process and potentially causing cognitive overload. This study investigates users' complex multimedia information-seeking behavior in state-of-the-art web search systems to uncover the issues users face. The findings reveal inadequacies in search engines in meeting users' discovery needs and suggest statistically significant research recommendations for multimedia information exploration-related endeavors.

Summary: With the rise of social media communication, teleconferencing, and online classes, audiovisual communication has become a crucial part of our lives. This article addresses the need for algorithms to measure and enhance user experience, focusing on the quality assessment of user-generated multimedia (UGM). The lack of a standard dataset and the significant differences between speech and UGM audio properties are challenges that are overcome with the development of the IIT-JMU-UGM audio dataset. The proposed non-intrusive audio quality assessment metric, based on a deep learning framework, outperforms other methods and effectively reflects human auditory perception.

Summary: This paper investigates cooperative content delivery in space-air-ground integrated vehicular networks (SAGVNs) and proposes a joint optimization scheme to minimize content delivery delay. By analyzing the impact of bandwidth allocation on delay performance, a load- and mobility-aware LMA-ABC scheme is designed to address user fairness, load balancing, and vehicle mobility. Simulation results show that the proposed LMA-ABC scheme significantly reduces cooperative content delivery delay compared to benchmark schemes.
