Summary: This study explores the role of a newly constructed lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA ceRNA network in immune escape in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The ceRNA regulatory network ST7-AS1/miR-301b-3p/BTG1, related to the prognosis of TNBC patients, was identified. In vivo experiments confirmed down-regulated expression of ST7-AS1 and BTG1, and up-regulated expression of miR-301b-3p in orthotopic transplanted tumor tissues of mice. It was found that ST7-AS1 might promote BTG1 expression by competitively binding to miR-301b-3p, thereby restricting immune escape in TNBC.

Summary: This study reveals the promotive role of circ_0008287 in gastric cancer progression and immune escape. It shows that circ_0008287, upregulated in gastric cancer cells, increases the viability, invasive and migratory potentials of cancer cells. Circ_0008287 competitively binds to miR-548c-3p, increasing the expression of CLIC1, which impairs the function of CD8+ T cells and promotes their apoptosis. Downregulation of circ_0008287 suppresses tumor formation and metastasis in vivo.

Summary: This study identifies a new lncRNA, MIR2187HG, which is significantly upregulated upon SCRV infection and plays a regulatory role in the immune response of fish. MIR2187HG acts as a negative regulator of the TBK1-mediated antiviral signaling pathway, allowing for effective suppression of excessive immunity. Additionally, SCRV can utilize MIR2187HG to enhance its own replication.

Summary: This study found that LINC01194 is upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and promotes cancer cell proliferation and migration while suppressing apoptosis. It was discovered that miR-655-3p binds to LINC01194 and its expression is downregulated in HCC. Upregulation of miR-655-3p inhibits cancer cell invasion and migration and increases apoptotic cell numbers. Additionally, SMAD5 is identified as a target of miR-655-3p. Therefore, LINC01194 promotes HCC development by decreasing miR-655-3p expression.

Summary: Aqueous Mg ion batteries (AMIBs) have great potential for energy storage due to their high capacity, abundant resource, and environmental friendliness. However, the scarcity of suitable anode materials limits the development of AMIBs. In this study, a new polymer anode material with a flower-like nanosheet structure is synthesized for aqueous Mg-Na hybrid-ion battery. The polymer electrode material exhibits high discharge specific capacity and maintains its framework structure during the cycling process of the hybrid-ion battery.

Summary: This study employed two-step cold sintering process (CSP) under different pressures to prepare (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 (KNN) ceramics, and found that the density of KNN green pellets can be increased by enhancing the pressure of the second-step CSP. Furthermore, it was observed that high pressure can accelerate the dissolution of K+ and result in more Na+ in some grains, and the diffusion rate of Na+ in grains is better than K+, which promotes the growth of grains. As a result, the piezoelectric property is improved even at low ceramic density due to the larger grains with higher performance composition. Hence, the pressure and inhomogeneous dissolution of alkali metal ions in CSP play a significant role in grain growth and piezoelectric enhancement.

Summary: The electrical properties of single-phase BT ceramic and phase-coexistence BT-based (BTS-0.15BCT) ceramic were compared with respect to the evolution with an electric field. It was found that the dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and strain properties are all dependent on the electric field, especially for BTS-0.15BCT ceramic with small domains and easy polarization rotation induced by phase coexistence. The phase-coexistence BT-based ceramic exhibits electric field-related properties due to its soft structure, while this effect cannot be observed in BT ceramic with stable phase structure and large domains.

Summary: The rapid development of photochromic devices has led to great interest in the design and preparation of luminescent materials. Introducing fluorescent powder ZnS:Cu into a cross-linked polymer matrix is an efficient and simple method to obtain photochromic materials with excellent comprehensive performance. However, the traditional method of physically mixing fluorescent powder into the polymer matrix has limitations in terms of internal defects, mechanical properties, and luminescence efficiency. This study successfully modified fluorescent powder with 3-mercaptopropionic acid and introduced it into epoxy silicone rubber, resulting in a recyclable luminescent elastomer with improved mechanical properties and luminescence performance.
