Summary: The research focuses on improving and strengthening the coordination of vaccine supply chains using artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study models the supply chain as a two-player dynamic game and examines the applicability and effectiveness of the technologies, as well as their impact on environmental performance. The results show that the difficulty in obtaining certified vaccines is not directly proportional to the profit of vaccine manufacturers, and the manufacturers are more sensitive to changes in the vaccine attenuation rate.

Summary: Increasing complexity and the involvement of additional stakeholders make it impossible to predict the impact of each decision, which puts supply chain managers in uncertain situations. However, a supply chain that can adapt and react to the current scenario gives them some control over these ambiguous circumstances. These characteristics of sensing disturbances or threats and giving appropriate responses can be improved with the implementation of blockchain-enabled technologies and can prove critical to the success of supply chain resilience and sustainability.

Summary: Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) enables saving encrypted data across a peer-to-peer network without central authority. Our empirical research focuses on DLT application in supply chain management and identifies five DLT affordances: product origin verification, digital data exchange, logistics tracking, simplified supply chain finance, and automated payments. We contribute to the discourse on DLT value creation and provide practical guidance for assessing DLT potential in supply chains, integrating our findings into the academic discussion on collaboration in viable supply networks.

Summary: Although signal countdown timers (SCTs) could enhance efficiency at signalized intersections, their effects on road users' behavior have been largely unexplored. This study investigates how SCTs influence drivers' actions towards pedestrians violating red lights through on-road surveys and naturalistic driving studies. The results show that the presence of SCTs significantly affects driving behavior, with critical times of SCTs leading to changes in actions like increasing vehicle speed and changing lanes. The study highlights the potential risks associated with SCTs, such as increased errors and violations, and their implications for pedestrian safety.
