Summary: Direct-write printing has been instrumental in additive manufacturing, especially in extrusion-based printing, expanding the range of materials and applications. However, the synthesis and preparation of printing inks for direct-write printing can be complex. This study develops a precise 3D printable polymer that allows for the easy prototyping of micrometre-scale silicone structures without the need for cleanroom facilities.

Summary: Nowadays, there is a wide range of methods being developed in the technology field of selective metallization of polymer surface for manufacturing compact electronic devices. However, most of these methods are expensive, complex, and involve toxic products. In this study, a new process called Rapid 3D-Plastronics was developed by combining 3D printing and selective metallization, offering a low-cost and less hazardous alternative. The process was successfully applied to manufacture complex 3D electronic devices, such as heaters and sensors, high-performance coils, and flexible electronic circuits.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and extent of gastroesophageal reflux, and the association with regurgitation in dogs undergoing thoracolumbar spine magnetic resonance imaging. The results showed that 50% of the included dogs had evidence of gastroesophageal reflux, which was not associated with breed, age, sex, neuter status or body weight. A higher volume of reflux was correlated with a higher chance of regurgitation. Early detection and quantification of reflux volume may help reduce the risk of associated complications.
