Newly synthesized 3-(pyridin-4-yl)-1,2,4-triazine compounds and their 4-nitrophenyl analogs show promising characteristics in relation to antiviral activity, particularly when compared to the antiviral drug Cidofovir.
Using atom-economical approaches, new representatives of 3-(pyridin-4-yl)-1,2,4-triazines and their 4-nitrophenyl analogs were obtained, and their activity in relation to the vaccinia virus was studied. The new compounds have shown promising characteristics, in particular, in comparison to the antiviral drug Cidofovir.
