Summary: This study examines whether temporary international migration can help returnees climb the occupational ladder. The findings suggest that return migration increases the probability of upward occupational mobility, especially among highly educated returnees. This highlights the potential of temporary overseas work experience to enhance the human capital of return migrants.

Summary: The influence of changing the injection angle of a liquid jet injected into airstream in crossflow was investigated. Different breakup regimes occur based on the relative importance of the aerodynamic forces of the crossflow to the liquid momentum and surface tension forces. The behavior of the liquid jet penetration into the airstream varies with the injection angle and gas Weber number.

Summary: Research has shown that perovskite films prepared by one-step solution processes grow downward during thermal annealing, starting from an intermediate phase rather than from bottom to top. Understanding this vertical heterogeneity of perovskite films is crucial as it significantly impacts the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells.

Summary: Stratospheric Kelvin waves are interpreted as plane gravity waves, while tropospheric Kelvin waves are seen as a superposition between baroclinic modes. Through Fourier filtering and wavelet regression analysis, it is found that fast Kelvin waves exhibit dry upward-phase signals in the troposphere and downward-phase waves in the stratosphere. Tropospheric Kelvin waves follow gravity wave dynamics with specific relationships between geopotential height, vertical velocity, temperature, and zonal wind. The presence of westward vertical tilt in both dry and moist tropospheric Kelvin waves suggests that this tilt cannot be a superposition between different baroclinic modes.

Summary: This study investigates the local solids holdup and local particle velocity in a Countercurrent Liquid-upward and Solids-downward Fluidized Bed (CCLSFB). The results show that the distribution of solids holdup and particle velocity follows certain patterns under different flow regimes. These findings provide fundamental information and theoretical support for the design and application of CCLSFB.

Summary: The dual-inlet GLCC design improves liquid efficiency by directing most of the feed liquid to the lower cylinder, enhancing pre-separation and inhibiting short-circuit flow at the upper inlet. This configuration expands the operational envelope by reducing liquid entering the upper cylinder.

Summary: This study conducted experimental research on the upward and downward flow of CO2 in a pipe, analyzing the flow regime, liquid holdup, and pressure drop. The experimental results indicated that the fully homogeneous approach, which assumes no slip and calculates friction using gas-liquid mixture properties, was the best model for predicting the behavior of CO2 in multiphase flow scenarios.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of external vertical forces on the pelvis during stair ascent, revealing that upward forces decrease stability and alter gait parameters such as double stance phase and knee flexion. Conversely, downward forces increase stability parameters and muscle activation levels.

Summary: This study investigated the transverse injection of rich, premixed natural gas and air, and natural gas, hydrogen, and air into a high-speed vitiated crossflow under engine-relevant conditions. The research found that flame stabilization near the injector resulted in a significant increase in NOX emissions for both NG-air and NG-H-2-air reacting jets. The flame position and structure were observed to be different for various jet equivalence ratios, indicating different combustion behaviors.

Summary: In this study, an extensive literature survey was conducted on the past experimental and theoretical studies of upwardly-moving gas-liquid metal two-phase flows in vertical flow channels with various geometries. A new drift-flux type correlation was proposed to predict the void fraction of gas-liquid metal two-phase flows, with mean relative errors of 0.109.

Summary: This paper examines the relationship between internal migrants' objective socioeconomic status and subjective wellbeing in Chinese cities, with a focus on the mediating role of perceived living standards relative to multiple reference groups. The study found that family income positively influences the subjective wellbeing of first-generation migrants, while homeownership in the destination city indirectly affects the subjective wellbeing of second-generation migrants through perceived living standards relative to local urban residents.
