Summary: Autistic people may experience higher levels of stress, depression, and anxiety during pregnancy and after giving birth, but they are equally likely as non-autistic parents to engage in positive parenting behaviors. It is important to provide effective screening and support for perinatal mental health conditions for autistic individuals.

Summary: This study examined the relationship between maternal attachment, perinatal depression, and emotional wellbeing. The findings showed that maternal attachment, specifically the Non-Autonomous states of mind, was associated with higher cortisol levels during pregnancy and higher depressive symptoms throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Mothers with depression and Non-Autonomous states of mind also reported higher parenting stress after childbirth. There was no significant intergenerational concordance between attachment classifications. Further research is needed to understand the role of maternal attachment in perinatal depression and emotional wellbeing.

Summary: Recent studies have shown that a history of induced abortion does not impact the psychological well-being or parental self-efficacy of first-time mothers and their partners. Instead, overall psychological well-being is predictive of parental self-efficacy, regardless of abortion history. These findings suggest that the psychological well-being of parents is an important factor in predicting maternal and paternal self-efficacy during toddlerhood.

Summary: Despite the popularity of breastfeeding apps, their impact on breastfeeding knowledge, attitudes, confidence, and intentions is uncertain. A feasibility study was conducted to explore the effectiveness of the My Baby Now app in providing breastfeeding support and its impact on knowledge, attitudes, confidence, and intentions. The study found that the app was rated higher and more impactful by mothers without university education, and that breastfeeding knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding intentions increased after using the app.

Summary: Drawing on the self-regulation theory, this paper examines the effects of two types of fitness app features (personal-oriented and social-oriented) on users' health behavior and well-being. The findings reveal that both types of features can significantly improve exercise adherence and social engagement. The relationship between social-oriented features and exercise adherence and social engagement is negatively moderated by users' exercise proficiency level. High levels of social engagement promote users' physical adherence to exercises. Exercise adherence and social engagement enhance users' subjective well-being, although their impacts on different dimensions of well-being vary. Moreover, regardless of specific features, sufficient use of fitness apps can greatly assist users in leading more positive and healthier lives by maintaining exercise adherence, reducing emotional exhaustion, and improving overall quality of life satisfaction. The findings offer valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying the influence of fitness app features on users' well-being, and practical recommendations for mobile app developers in designing better fitness app products and for exercisers in optimizing the benefits of fitness technology adoption.

Summary: Based on theoretical and empirical research, this study finds that organizational support, job crafting, and basic psychological needs have a positive impact on the occupational well-being of new math teachers in primary and junior high schools. It also suggests that basic psychological needs may mediate the relationship between organizational support, job crafting, and teacher well-being. The findings contribute to expanding the research on factors influencing teacher well-being, particularly among math teachers in primary and junior high schools in China.

Summary: This study explores the perspectives of parents and the experiences of Singaporean parents receiving perinatal support during the COVID-19 pandemic through the Supportive Parenting App (SPA). The findings suggest that although the pandemic has negatively affected parents' access to support, most parents were able to find alternative sources of support, and the SPA was found to be a reliable source of information for parents in the intervention group. Future research should focus on improving technology-based support to provide better perinatal care for parents.

Summary: Excess weight gained during early years, especially rapid weight gain in the first 2 years of life, is a major risk factor for adult obesity. The consensus is that childhood obesity is a result of the complex interaction between genetic susceptibility and exposure to an 'obesogenic' environment. The Behavioural Susceptibility Theory (BST) explains the gene-environment interaction by suggesting that inherited variation in appetite determines why some infants and children overeat while others do not. This article reviews the research supporting BST, with a focus on early life, and discusses implications and future research directions.

Summary: The AEBQ-Esp (excluding Hunger) is a valid and reliable psychometric questionnaire for measuring appetitive traits in Mexican Spanish-speaking population. Some traits like Satiety Responsiveness and Slowness in Eating are negatively associated with BMI, while Emotional Over-Eating is positively associated with BMI. Further exploration is needed to understand the associations between these traits and weight in adulthood.
