A high-performance holey Pd8Pb nanosheet array has been successfully synthesized, showing significantly higher peak current density and better stability towards methanol electrooxidation compared to commercial Pd/C, making it a promising anode catalyst for direct methanol fuel cells.
Holey PdPb nanosheet array is successfully synthesized using the CO confinement method. By tuning the ratio of Pd to Pb, the optimized holey Pd8Pb nanosheet array exhibits 4.8-fold higher peak current density and better stability toward methanol electrooxidation compared to the commercial Pd/C, holding great promise as an anode catalyst for direct methanol fuel cells.
