Summary: Augmented and virtual reality experiences pose challenges for disabled individuals, hindering their full engagement with immersive platforms. Despite initial exploration of potential solutions, there remains a lack of understanding regarding the research areas that require further investigation to support inclusive AR/VR systems. To address this gap, collaborative sandpits were conducted with stakeholders from academia, industry, disability organizations, and assistive technologists to identify key research challenges, opportunities, and solutions for specific disabilities and the overall development of more accessible immersive platforms.

Summary: Although there is growing interest in using augmented reality (AR) technology in education, limited research has focused on pre-service teachers' preparation for AR technology. This study investigated how teacher candidates perceived and experienced different AR tools. The findings showed that teachers had positive views of all AR tools, with CoSpaces, Fectar, and Blippar performing significantly better than Wikitude, UniteAR, and Unity & Vuforia. The study also identified affordances and challenges of AR tools in instructional learning environments. The results have significant implications for designing AR-enhanced course materials.

Summary: This study analyzed a questionnaire measuring the stimuli and cognitive reactions inherent in Immersive Technology, finding a latent structure with 16 items underlying the latent variables of interactivity, presence, and flow after administering it to 231 middle school students. The questionnaire, named TINMER, showed a satisfactory level of reliability (0.85), providing guidelines for its use to enhance the potential of Immersive Technology in learning experiences.
