Summary: Financial services providers have the funds to finance climate change and new entrepreneurs are interested in joining this effort. This study explores what fintech companies are doing in the field of climate change and its theoretical and policy implications. The research uses a multiple case study method and secondary sources of information. The findings show that large fintech firms have diverse reporting extents and tackle different issues, but all report on their environmental impacts. Smaller green fintechs in the study offer crowdfunding for green projects, track the impact of green projects, invest in green projects, or provide platforms for peer-to-peer trading of renewable energy.

Summary: Medical research is crucial in medical training, and extracurricular research activities can help students develop interest and competitiveness. The lack of research education in medical school pushes students to seek experience outside their degree, highlighting the importance of self-reflection and preparation.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the flatness of the TRAPPIST-1 system places an important constraint on the mass of its gaseous disk, ruling out certain formation models. Only a disk mass within a certain range is consistent with the system's flatness, while a more massive disk is not.

Summary: The study shows that the combination of horizontal distance between two images and the focus of the ad appeal can influence consumer product evaluation. Matching the product-model distance with the ad appeal enhances processing fluency, leading to more positive product evaluations. The findings provide practical insights and strategies for practitioners.

Summary: The field of medical informatics research has made significant contributions to facilitate the development of clinical data. However, the complexity of relationships, terminologies, and implementations can be barriers for those who want to get involved. This paper presents 10 important topics in medical informatics research, focusing on interdisciplinary communication and lowering the barriers to entry. These topics cover current issues and research gaps in the field, and provide guidance and further resources. The paper also discusses the integration of these topics in higher education curriculum.

Summary: The study found that behavioral interventions, such as changing default modes and providing social norms, can increase the usage of eco driving mode in electric vehicles. However, the acceleration and energy consumption of the cars were not affected by the interventions, but were influenced by trip distance. The results suggest that technological interventions aiming to reduce environmental impacts should focus more on situational factors rather than dispositional factors of people or cars.

Summary: Psychoactive drugs play a central role in many human group rituals, with dancing, drums, sleep deprivation, and drug use being key mechanisms in generating altered states of consciousness. Engaging in these activities at ritualized events like raves can lead to personal transformation, particularly for those who find the experience awe-inspiring. However, without awe or a ritual context, participation in these activities may not result in personal growth. Bonding with other participants and engaging in prosocial behavior during awe-inspiring events was associated with personal transformation in a simple economic game. Bonding with humanity, however, was not linked to these events.

Summary: In recent years, biology and precision medicine have made significant progress in generating and analyzing large-scale molecular and biomedical datasets using advanced machine learning algorithms. However, the adoption of machine learning in kidney research has been slower due to the complex physiology and disease manifestations of the kidney, as well as the limited resources allocated to kidney diseases. This review discusses the potential applications of machine learning in renal research and emphasizes the need for the kidney research community to embrace this powerful tool for better understanding and improving patient care.

Summary: Melting phenomenon, although well studied, still reveals new findings when triggered by laser excitation, as shown by experiments of nanosecond-scale melting. Atomistic simulations demonstrate that a combined effect of lattice superheating and relaxation of laser-induced stresses ensures the dominance of homogeneous melting mechanism. However, the much longer melting times and the contribution of heterogeneous melting observed in experiments cannot be explained by adjusting the electron-phonon coupling strength.

Summary: Community colleges and open-access two-year campuses serve as important pathways to higher education, but the success rate of transfer students is low. Internal transfer students are able to overcome barriers related to transfer information more easily due to their extensive social support networks. Utilizing social support and obtaining accurate transfer information can enhance self-efficacy and adjustment among transfer students.

Summary: This study evaluates the expectations of medical students regarding the role of their research supervisors and finds that most students expect equal responsibility from their supervisors during the research project. Additionally, differences in expectations between junior and senior students were identified. Understanding students' expectations in the supervisor-student relationship is crucial for successful research and collaboration.

Summary: Unfounded skepticism regarding biosimilars is based on the assertion that they are not molecularly identical to their original counterpart. However, as long as the molecular differences between the biosimilars and the reference medicines fall within the accepted variability, they are clinically irrelevant and undetectable. The minor differences reported in a recent meta-analysis of Gonal-f (R) biosimilars are likely driven by factors unrelated to the products.
