Summary: The majority of patients who choose mastectomy alone do so for quicker recovery and to avoid foreign body placement. Patients with lower satisfaction are more likely to lack support from their surgeons, have a higher BMI, or undergo unilateral procedures. Higher satisfaction is associated with receiving adequate information about surgical options and having a specialized breast surgery practice.

Summary: This study investigates the development of PROM-PMs based on generic PROMs to support strategies for quality improvement in mental health systems. The findings suggest that changes in MCS-12 scores are associated with demographics, baseline scores, and diagnostic categories. Adjusted models indicate that differences between facilities only account for 0.5% of the total variance, suggesting the potential value of adjusted measures in assessing changes in MCS-12.

Summary: This study investigated the prevalence and patterns of lifestyle change support provided by acupuncture therapists in the UK and explored related characteristics and attitudes. The results showed that acupuncture therapists commonly offer support for lifestyle changes, particularly for patients with chronic conditions. The level of support varied for different health behaviors and was influenced by therapists' attitudes, confidence, and use of behavior change techniques. Additionally, therapists considered factors such as patient receptiveness, condition improvement potential, and therapeutic alliance when deciding to offer lifestyle change support. The findings have important implications for promoting healthy behaviors and understanding acupuncture practice.
