Summary: This study investigated the role of upregulated metabolites of aged serum in colorectal cancer (CRC) progression. Methylmalonic acid (MMA) was found to be responsible for tumorigenesis and metastasis in CRC. Through Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway mediated epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), MMA promoted CRC progression. These findings highlight the importance of age-related metabolic reprogramming in CRC and suggest a potential therapeutic target for elderly patients.

Summary: NCAPG is over-expressed in colorectal cancer and is associated with clinicopathological characteristics. Silencing NCAPG can suppress the proliferation, migration, and invasion of CRC cells, while overexpression of NCAPG promotes these abilities. Mechanistically, NCAPG activates the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway to facilitate CRC invasion and metastasis.

Summary: The study aimed to explore the effects and mechanisms of the PBX1/SFRP4 axis in endometrial carcinoma (EC). The expression of PBX1 and SFRP4 was analyzed and validated in EC cells. Overexpression of PBX1 or SFRP4 resulted in weakened cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, accompanied by changes in the expression of various proteins involved in EC phenotypes and the EMT process. PBX1 promoted SFRP4 transcription by binding to its promoter, and the repression of overexpressed PBX1 was reversed by knockdown of SFRP4, indicating the role of PBX1 in inhibiting the Wnt/ll-catenin pathway.

Summary: This study establishes a model of LPS-induced ARDS-related pulmonary fibrosis in mice and investigates the anti-fibrosis effects and molecular mechanisms of Citrus Alkaline Extracts (CAE) in vivo and in vitro. The results demonstrate that CAE effectively alleviates lung injury and fibrosis, reverses TGF-beta 1-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) through Wnt/beta-catenin, Stat3/6 and COX2/PGE2 signaling pathways. RNA-Seq analysis reveals important mechanisms of CAE's therapeutic effects, and network pharmacology analysis identifies potential core targets of CAE in EMT.

Summary: Fault localization is critical for multiphase machines, and reliable fault diagnosis strategy is essential. This article proposes a simple and efficient open-switch fault detection strategy that can locate any combinations of open-switch faults. The strategy detects the faulty phases first and then determines the faulty switches based on the direction of current vectors in the harmonic plane. Experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Summary: This article introduces a CR-BIFM machine with an open-slot structure for wind power generation. The machine utilizes two CR rotors coupled with two sets of wind turbine blades, capturing more wind energy compared to single-rotor turbines. Due to its dual-flux-modulation effect, the CR-BIFM machine exhibits high torque/power density, making it suitable for direct-drive wind power generation. The advantages of the machine, such as higher efficiency and permanent magnet utilization, are comprehensively evaluated and validated with a prototype.

Summary: The effects of external electric field on the SeZrS/SeHfS heterostructure were studied using first-principles calculations. It was found that an external electric field can transform the type-I band alignment to type-II, leading to spatial separation of electron-hole pairs in different monolayers. The linear variations of the band gap with external electric fields are attributed to the redistribution of electron concentration and shifting of quasi-Fermi levels and band edge positions. These findings demonstrate the potential applications of the SeZrS/SeHfS heterostructure in field effect transistors and optoelectronic devices.

Summary: The development of multiphase drives has accelerated and fault-tolerance has been extensively studied. Traditional SVPWM causes torque ripple during open-circuit faults, affecting fault-tolerant performance. This work proposes a novel SVPWM fault-tolerant strategy for seven-phase induction machine, providing insight into voltage vector reconstruction and enabling generality for different fault-tolerant principles. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Summary: Conventional space vector pulsewidth modulation (SVPWM) degrades performance of multiphase motor drives under open-phase fault. Existing solutions require reconfiguration of transformation matrices, making industrial implementation difficult. This study proposes a fault-tolerant SVPWM strategy that offers natural fault tolerance, simplified fault detection, minimum reconfiguration, torque ripple-free operation, and applicability to various open-phase faults using a single-transformation matrix. The proposed approach eliminates redundant controllers and reduces difficulty of fault diagnosis. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that torque ripple can be reduced by approximately 40% compared to conventional SVPWM strategy in the presence of multiple faults.
