Summary: This study aims to investigate the role of DNM3OS in regulating the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells through the DNMT1/FOXO3a pathway. LncRNAs related to liver cancer were identified through the LncRNADisease v2.0 database. DNM3OS was found to promote methylation of the FOXO3a promoter region and inhibit FOXO3a transcription, thereby acting as an oncogene in liver cancer progression. The findings provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying HCC.

Summary: In this study, it was found that the surface protein gp110 of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) plays an important role in regulating the host's innate immunity. Gp110 inhibits NF-KB promoter activity and the production of NF-KB-regulated cytokines. It interacts with the transcription factor p65, limiting its activation and nuclear translocation. These findings suggest that gp110 is a vital component for EBV to antagonize the host's innate immune response and contribute to the understanding of EBV infectivity and pathogenesis.

Summary: This study revealed that the inhibition of CXCL13 in colorectal cancer has a mitigating effect on disease progression by promoting intestinal tumorigenesis through the activation of the AKT signaling pathway. Intestinal microbiota translocation drives CXCL13 production in dendritic cells through the activation of NF-kappa B signaling. Inhibition of microbiota translocation reduces CXCL13 production and ameliorates intestinal tumorigenesis.

Summary: The late glacial and Holocene sediment record from Lake Heihai in the Kunlun-Pass region reveals cold and dry conditions between approximately 12.9 and 12.3 cal ka BP, followed by higher temperatures. Warmer and wetter conditions with increased lake levels and decreased lake-water salinity occurred from approximately 10.8 to 7.0 cal ka BP, attributed to the strengthening of the summer monsoon. From approximately 7.0 to 1.2 cal ka BP, a decline in lake level and an increase in lake-water salinity suggested cold and dry conditions, with glacier advances in the catchment.

Summary: This study investigated the hydrocarbon generation kinetics and phase behaviors of samples from the Jurassic Tamulangou Fm. and compared them with samples from the Cretaceous Fm. using the confined gold tube system. The results showed that the heating rates affected the reaction rates, paths, and levels of organic matter evolution. The activation energy for liquid hydrocarbon was lower than that for gaseous, and igneous intrusion positively influenced the development and preservation of organic matter. The thermal simulation analysis indicated a favorable potential for hydrocarbon exploration, with oil generation being slow initially and then rapidly increasing until a burial depth of 1500 m was reached.

Summary: The first member of the Lower Cretaceous Nantun Formation contains multiple siderite beds, which are mainly stratiform or massive in nature. These beds are composed of siderite, clay, quartz, calcite, and feldspar, and contain various micromorphological features such as dense micronized crystals and paragenesis with quartz and calcite. The trace element composition suggests a weakly reducing, freshwater depositional environment. The carbon in siderite is derived mainly from carbonate dissolution, and the formation of siderite is attributed to the combination of Fe2+ and CO32- in water bodies.

Summary: This study investigated the biological function and potential mechanism of FBXO43 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The results showed that FBXO43 was upregulated in HCC patient tissues and correlated with poor clinicopathological features. Knockdown of FBXO43 inhibited HCC cell proliferation, migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), which was mediated by its interaction with cyclin D1 (CCND1) and promotion of CCND1 stability. Targeting the FBXO43-CCND1 axis may provide a new potential strategy for HCC treatment.

Summary: The incidence rate of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is higher in males compared to females. Previous research has shown that FBXW10 plays a critical role in HCC development in males but the mechanism is unknown. This study found that FBXW10 promotes the polyubiquitination and activation of ANXA2 in male HCC tissues, leading to HCC growth and metastasis. Interfering with ANXA2 can effectively block FBXW10-driven HCC growth and lung metastasis. These findings suggest that the FBXW10-S6K1-ANXA2-KRAS-ERK axis could be a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in male HCC patients.
