The article presents the influence of the camera and its optical system on the uncertainty of object position measurement in vision systems. The aim of the article is to present the methodology for estimating the combined standard uncertainty of measuring the object position with a vision camera treated as a measuring device. The identification of factors affecting the location measurement uncertainty and the determination of their share in the combined standard uncertainty will allow determining the parameters of the camera operation, so that the expanded uncertainty is as small as possible in the given measurement conditions. The analysis of the uncertainty estimation presented in the article was performed with the assumption that there is no influence of any external factors (e.g., temperature, humidity, or vibrations).

The assessment of metrological properties of segmental orifice based on simulations and experiments

Anna Golijanek-Jedrzejczyk, Andrzej Mrowiec, Robert Hanus, Marcin Zych, Marcin Heronimczak, Dariusz Swisulski

Summary: The study utilized segmental orifices for flow measurement in a stainless-steel pipe, comparing experimental and simulation results which showed relative differences within acceptable ranges. Uncertainty analysis for mass flow measurement using analytical and Monte Carlo methods were also discussed, showing that the relative expanded uncertainty did not exceed 1.8% for the tested orifice.

Investigation of Liquid-Gas Flow in a Horizontal Pipeline Using Gamma-Ray Technique and Modified Cross-Correlation

Robert Hanus, Marcin Zych, Anna Golijanek-Jedrzejczyk

Summary: This article presents the application of the radioisotope absorption method in the study of two-phase water-air flow in a horizontal pipe. The measurement principle and test stand are briefly described, and the signal analysis methods applied to data obtained from scintillation detectors are presented. Examples of gas phase velocity measurement results for four types of flow are presented, and it is found that the CCF/ASDF and CCF/AMDF methods provide more accurate measurements of the dispersed phase than the CCF method.

Summary: This article discusses the importance of verifying geometric parameters in railway line construction and maintenance. Mobile measurements using GNSS receivers and IMU have been performed to determine the base vector of the measuring platform. The article analyzes the impact of measuring conditions on the accuracy of GNSS results and suggests the use of digital filtering to eliminate disturbances. It also explores the possibility of using GNSS and IMU for determining various angles of the railway track.

Measurements of Dispersed Phase Velocity in Two-Phase Flows in Pipelines Using Gamma-Absorption Technique and Phase of the Cross-Spectral Density Function

Robert Hanus, Marcin Zych, Anna Golijanek-Jedrzejczyk

Summary: This paper discusses the application of the gamma radiation absorption method in measuring the velocity of dispersed phases in two-phase flows, specifically the flow of liquid-gas in a horizontal pipeline and liquid-solid particles in a vertical pipe. The research utilized radiometric sets with Am-241 gamma radiation sources and NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors. Statistical methods were employed to analyze the stochastic signals obtained from the scintillation probes. The phase method was found to be more accurate than the commonly used classical cross-correlation method in the presented cases.
