Summary: This review comprehensively examines the role of Galectin-3 in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), including its expression, interaction with immune cells, signaling pathways, effects on apoptosis, and therapeutic resistance. The prognostic significance of serum levels of Galectin-3 and its potential utilization as a biomarker are also discussed. Additionally, the review critically analyzes the inhibitors of Galectin-3 and their potential therapeutic applications in PDAC, offering new avenues for targeted treatments.

Summary: KLF3, a key transcriptional repressor, plays significant roles in various biological functions and is particularly important in pancreatic cancer. Abnormal expression of KLF3 is found in multiple tumors and silencing KLF3 expression inhibits pancreatic cancer progression. It is involved in immune-related pathways and tumor progression-related pathways.

Summary: Pancreatic cancer is a highly dangerous disease, and understanding its progress and regression is crucial. Exosomes derived from various cells, including tumor cells, can impact the tumor microenvironment and play a role in cancer development. Detecting specific molecules carried by exosomes in blood and body fluids can aid in early diagnosis and monitoring of pancreatic cancer. Additionally, immune cell-derived exosomes and mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes have the potential for pancreatic cancer treatment through enhancing anti-tumor properties or drug loading. Overall, exosomes form a complex communication network that is involved in pancreatic cancer progression, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment.

Summary: Differential expression genes were obtained from the GEO database, and immunoglobulin heavy constant delta (IGHD) was found to be significantly upregulated in peripheral blood of pancreatic cancer patients, serving as a potential independent biomarker. High IGHD expression was associated with increased lymphocyte infiltration and immunological pathway activity. The risk score model could reliably predict clinical prognosis and drug response, and a nomogram combining the risk score and clinical characteristics showed better predictive performance.

Summary: Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant tumor with poor prognosis, often diagnosed at advanced stages due to lack of early symptoms. Early diagnosis through screening and understanding risk factors is crucial. Current biomarkers like CA19-9 have limited specificity, driving research towards discovering novel biomarkers and utilizing innovative technologies for improved detection.

Summary: Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States, with PDAC accounting for over 90% of cases and a low survival rate. MiRNAs have been identified as sensitive biomarkers in pancreatic cancer and are found in stable forms within exosomes. Further research on exosomal miRNAs is necessary for improved diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic strategies.

Summary: Pancreatic cancer is a deadly neoplasm with poor prognosis, and recent research has highlighted the impact of lncRNAs on its progression. Some lncRNAs are oncogenic while others act as tumor suppressors in pancreatic cancer. Dysregulated expression of specific lncRNAs may serve as prognostic markers in patients with this aggressive cancer.

Summary: Diagnosing lung cancer subtypes accurately is crucial for precise treatment. This study introduces an interpretable and flexible solution called LungDWM, which utilizes weakly paired multiomics data to diagnose lung cancer subtypes. By extracting important diagnostic features, imputing missing data, and fusing information from different omics, LungDWM outperforms other competitive methods in terms of performance, authenticity, and interpretability.

Summary: Pancreatic ductal carcinomas (PDACs) are difficult to diagnose early and have a poor prognosis. Many PDAC patients suffer from nutritional deficiencies related to their cancer. Pancreatic enzyme insufficiency (PEI) is a common cause of malnutrition in PDAC. This paper reviews past studies on malnutrition in PDAC, focusing on PEI and its treatment, and highlights knowledge gaps among healthcare professionals regarding PEI.
