Summary: The agri-food industry is facing challenges due to population growth, and precision agriculture offers a potential solution. However, small-scale farmers in developing countries face difficulties in adopting precision agriculture technologies. Economic benefits and potential environmental benefits were identified as the major advantages of precision agriculture. The main constraints for small-scale precision agriculture technologies include small land size, high adoption cost, technological difficulties, lack of professional support, and lack of supporting policies. Various solutions were suggested in the literature, including joint actions, low-cost technology, education, professional support, and policy initiatives.
