Summary: This paper provides evidence that GameFi does not serve as a hedge or safe haven for most indices at the GameFi-level, but the value-weighted and equal-weighted GameFi composite indices have the potential to serve as safe havens for most international indices at the market-level.

Summary: PCOS is a complex disease that may be caused by a combination of environmental and genetic factors. Recent research suggests a link between gut microbiota and the emergence of the syndrome. By modulating gut microbiota, metabolic, inflammatory, and hormonal profiles in PCOS women can be improved.

Summary: Duplicated genes play a crucial role in evolutionary processes as both substrates and catalysts, contributing to the phenotypic evolution of all life on Earth. Recent research on paralogues from across the tree of life challenges the classical framework and provides insights into the ways in which duplicated genes shape genetic architecture.

Summary: The repeated evolution of tetrodotoxin (TTX) resistance provides a model for studying convergent evolution mechanisms. In investigating garter snakes (Thamnophis) that prey on TTX-bearing newts (Taricha), it was found that there is extensive variation in resistance at different biological scales. However, one species of Thamnophis, Th. couchii, did not show functional variation in certain genetic loci or differences in candidate gene expression, suggesting that historical contingencies may play a role in the local adaptation of different species of Thamnophis.

Summary: This paper provides an overview of alternative education in China over the past 20 years, reviewing its definition, categories, and development. It discusses the practitioners, reasons for choosing alternative education, and the legal status in China. A framework is proposed to understand different types of alternative education, and the potential for further research into alternative education in China is discussed.

Summary: The RAS-regulated RAF-MEK1/2-ERK1/2 signaling pathway is frequently dysregulated in human cancer, particularly melanoma. Although three BRAFi have been approved for treating BRAF mutant melanoma and have shown significant impact, clinical responses are typically transient. Therefore, BRAFi are often used in combination with MEKi to provide more durable but still transient clinical responses. Recent studies have shown that activation of the ERK5 signaling pathway may result in resistance to BRAFi/MEKi and ERK1/2i.

Summary: The study found a lack of clarity and focus on the reunification process for children in care in Ireland. This lack of focus and absence of national guidance has led to some children 'drifting' through the care system, with minimal emphasis on working with birth parents. Future efforts should aim to develop a comprehensive research agenda, ensure reunification is clearly on the policy agenda in Ireland, and establish a framework for practice guidance and specialized reunification services.

Summary: The additional waiting time caused by denied boarding is negatively valued 68% more than the initial waiting time and is perceived as longer. Neglecting this more negative waiting time can lead to underestimation of the passenger and societal impact of overcrowding in public transport systems, as well as the benefits of potential crowding relief measures.
