Summary: This study conducted in northern Iran assessed the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of healthcare workers regarding dengue fever. The results showed that most of the respondents had heard about dengue but had less knowledge about its symptoms. Although the majority had good attitudes and practices, there is room for improvement in local transmission practices. The study suggests the need for enhanced training programs to improve knowledge and attitudes among healthcare workers for better management and control of dengue.

Summary: Soil seed banks are vital for the post-fire regeneration of semi-arid mountain grasslands. This study examined how prescribed burning affected the density and species composition of the soil seed bank under different shrub canopies. The results showed that canopy fire reduced soil seed bank density and species richness, with variations depending on the shrub species.

Summary: This article introduces a Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS) developed for monitoring municipal landfills and siting new waste disposal locations in the Mazandaran province, Iran. By integrating criteria, a suitability map was created and shared online using ArcGIS Online, allowing decision-makers to access laws, criteria, and spatial analysis results. The SDSS facilitates mutually beneficial relationships between experts, decision-makers, and stakeholders for prioritizing actions related to landfill relocation, site closure, or emergency care.

Summary: In this investigation, the Kasiliyan SWAT hydrological prototype was used to predict overflowing occurrences. The prototype was standardized and optimized, and its validation in the study area was completed. The sensitivity analysis revealed that static components, such as groundwater improper current and its period, have a greater impact on overflowing than other factors. Based on the model findings, the sub basin number 7 had the highest runoff, while sub basin number 2 had the least amount of overflow.
