Summary: This study aimed to predict lymph node metastasis (LNM) and prognosis in endometrial cancer (EC) patients using preoperative factors. The results showed that preoperative factors such as myometrial invasion, enlarged lymph nodes, histological grade, and serum CA125 level can predict LNM with high precision. The predictive performance of LNM differed between low-grade EC (LGEC) and high-grade EC (HGEC) patients.

Summary: Patients with high-grade uterine cancer have a higher risk of cancer spreading to the lymph nodes compared to patients with low-grade uterine cancer. CA125, a marker detectable in blood, is associated with increased tumor spread. This study aimed to assess the predictive value of CA125 for uterine cancer spread and survival and the additional value of CT scan in high-grade uterine cancer. The findings showed that elevated CA125 was associated with advanced stage, lymph node metastasis, and a worse prognosis in high-grade uterine cancer.

Summary: This study evaluated the performance of urine CA125 and HE4 levels for the detection of endometrial cancer in symptomatic women. The results showed that both proteins were significantly elevated in the urine of women with cancer compared to those without cancer. Urine CA125 performed better than HE4, and combining it with transvaginal ultrasound-measured endometrial thickness improved the detection of endometrial cancer. This study provides initial evidence for the use of these proteins in urine for endometrial cancer detection, but confirmation in a larger sample is needed.
