Summary: This study examined the association between migraine and dementia. It found that individuals with a migraine diagnosis had a higher dementia rate, while the use of prescribed migraine medication was not associated with dementia. Among migraine cases, individuals with MA who used migraine medication had the highest dementia rate, while those with MO who also used medication had the lowest rate. The number of migraine medication prescriptions was not linked to dementia.

Summary: Migraine is the second largest cause of years lost to disability globally, with limited therapeutics specifically developed for its treatment. After 30 years of research, CGRP inhibitors have emerged as a promising tool for migraine prevention. However, with limited real-world experience, the systemic actions of CGRP need to be considered for potential side effects.

Summary: Traumatic brain injury is a common cause of disability and death, with post-traumatic headache being a major complication associated with significant disability and reduced quality of life. The neurobiological and psychological factors play crucial roles in the initiation and sustainment of post-traumatic headache, impacting the long-term outcome of patients. Various mechanisms, such as physical damages and inflammation, are suggested as underlying causes for the neurobiology of headache.

Summary: The incidence of Alzheimer's disease is rapidly increasing globally, posing a significant burden to health and economy. Early intervention for neurodegeneration may help prevent cognitive decline, but there is currently a lack of simple, rapid, and accurate diagnosis for early cognitive impairment. Resting-state functional MRI indicators such as ALFF, fALFF, and ReHo have shown promise as potential early diagnostic markers for Alzheimer's disease.

Summary: This study aimed to determine if migraine can be caused by an underlying condition or pathology, with symptomatic migraine presenting similarly to idiopathic migraine; cases indicated symptomatic migraine with aura may be due to cortical lesions or microembolization, while the existence of symptomatic migraine without aura remains uncertain, calling for prospective studies to confirm.

Summary: The study found that Alzheimer's disease (AD) and ischemic stroke (IS) share certain risk and protective factors, such as education level, lifestyle, and psychological well-being. Having protective factors can significantly reduce the risk of developing AD and IS, with up to 57.8% of cases prevented if individuals have no risk factors.

Summary: The study found that lower educational attainment and occupation-based SEP were associated with a higher risk of dementia, and higher occupation-based SEP partially mitigated the risk of dementia associated with lower education. Only unskilled work was associated with a higher risk of dementia in a subgroup of men after adjusting for cognitive ability.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the relationship between light intensity at different times of day and sleep quality in daytime workers in Denmark. The results showed that neither white nor blue light intensities in the morning, evening, or night were significantly associated with sleep quality, awakening, or sleep onset latency. However, secondary analyses suggested that artificial light during the morning and day may increase vulnerability to evening light exposure.

Summary: There is a significantly higher risk of hospitalization with COVID-19 among non-Western immigrants and ethnic minorities compared to ethnic Danes, with individuals from Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, and Somalia showing the most pronounced results. This increased risk is largely attributed to comorbidity and socioeconomic factors, particularly household size, occupation, and population density.

Summary: This study examined the relationship between workplace characteristics and the occurrence of workplace bullying. Low levels of relational justice were found to predict both witnessing and being a target of workplace bullying, suggesting that relational justice plays a role in the prevention of workplace bullying. Other workplace characteristics showed less consistent associations with bullying.

Summary: Headache disorders affect employees' work ability, particularly in handling physical and cognitive job demands. Improper use or overuse of medication can worsen the difficulties. Depressive symptoms and musculoskeletal pain also play a significant role in work disability. Employees with headache disorders require proper diagnosis and treatment, and rehabilitation should address mental health and concurrent conditions, with adjustments to working conditions improving work ability.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between educational attainment in young adulthood and self-rated health in midlife by analyzing the mediating effect of allostatic load. The findings suggest that educational attainment has a significant impact on health, and the effect is partially mediated by allostatic load. Understanding this potential mediator is important in addressing social disparities.

Summary: This study found no association between HCC and testicular function, and adjusting for three NR3C1 polymorphisms did not change the results. HCC was found to increase with the number of Tth111I minor alleles (T) and decrease with the number of 9 beta minor alleles (G). These findings suggest that the negative reproductive effects of stress may not be directly mediated by cortisol.

Summary: Night and evening work are associated with an increased risk of sickness absence, but little is known about the acute effects on sick leave. This study examines the risk of calling in sick within two days after a night or an evening shift. The results show that there is a higher odds of calling in sick after a night shift compared to day shifts (OR 1.22, 95% CI 1.14-1.30), while there is a lower odds after an evening shift (OR 0.89, 95% CI 0.84-0.93) within the same person.
