Summary: This study investigated the root canal configuration of maxillary and mandibular first molars using CBCT scans and found that the majority of molars had three roots and three canals. Additionally, a significant association was observed between gender and the number of canals in maxillary molars.

Summary: Based on retrospective evaluation of cone-beam computed tomography and high-definition computed tomography exams from 103 small breed dogs under 15 kg, the study found that most of the roots of the first mandibular molar tooth in these dogs were located at the lingual aspect of the mandibular canal (82.7%) with an overall superimposition median with the canal of 100% and 90% for the mesial and distal roots, respectively. Straddle tooth roots were not common in the dogs of this study.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the root and root canal anatomy of mandibular second molars with C-shaped root canal configurations in residents of the Hail district using CBCT. The findings revealed significant differences in root canal morphology between Saudi subpopulations, with the majority of mandibular second molars having two roots and three root canals. The presence of a C-shaped root canal system should be taken into account when treating these molars.

Summary: This study investigated the root canal morphology of mandibular second molars in a Chinese population and found that the most common morphology is two separate roots with three canals. The prevalence of C-shaped root canals is higher in females than in males, and C-shaped canals are typically bilateral.

Summary: The study assessed the positive predictive value of panoramic radiographic signs in determining the relationship between impacted mandibular third molars (IMTMs) and the mandibular canal (MC). Results showed that root apex darkening and interference with the white line on panoramic radiographs had a high PPV for detecting the contact between IMTMs and MC. Presence of these risk factors indicates the necessity for subsequent 3D radiographic assessments.

Summary: This study used CBCT to investigate the root canal system of mandibular anteriors in a Cantonese population and found that complicated root canal configurations are more common in mandibular lateral incisors. Furthermore, the presence of distolingual roots in mandibular first molars is correlated with complicated root canal configurations in mandibular lateral incisors.

Summary: This CBCT-based study in a large Brazilian population found that approximately 20% of mandibular central and lateral incisors had two root canals, while canines had 10%. The majority of individuals demonstrated bilateral symmetry between contralateral teeth. No significant sex influence was found for lower lateral incisors and canines, but a higher prevalence of two canals in men was noted for lower central incisors.

Summary: The study aims to automatically assess the positional relationship between lower third molars (M3i) and the mandibular canal (MC) based on panoramic radiographs (PR). A deep-learning approach, combined with a skeletonization algorithm and a signed distance method, was trained and validated to classify the positional relationship. The proposed method achieved high accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value, and F1-score.

Summary: Inferior alveolar nerve injury is the main complication in mandibular third molar surgery. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) has become crucial in evaluating the relationship between mandibular third molar and inferior alveolar nerve. Segmentation techniques applied to CBCT images can improve visualization of the structures of interest, leading to better preoperative evaluation of the third molar.

Summary: This meta-analysis examined the prevalence and influencing factors of middle mesial canal (MMC) in mandibular molars using cone-beam computed tomography. The results showed that the prevalence of MMC was 4.4% in the first molars, significantly higher than the prevalence of 1.3% in the second molars. Age, molar side, and gender were not found to be influencing factors of MMC prevalence.

Summary: This study used CBCT to examine anatomical variations in mandibular second molars in an Egyptian sub-population. The results showed differences in the number of roots, number of root canals, root cross section, and prevalence and configurations of C-shaped canals. The findings suggest that Egyptian sub-population exhibits highly variable morphological features in mandibular second molars, making CBCT highly recommended for individual cases.

Summary: Lymphoedema associated with breast cancer is a common condition caused by lymphatic system interruption and various factors. Physical therapy is an effective treatment for reducing lymphoedema, improving quality of life, and reducing pain. However, there is currently no study comparing the effectiveness of all physical therapy interventions. The purpose of this study is to determine the most effective physical therapy treatment.
