Summary: SPRY4-IT1 is overexpressed in glioma and correlates with poor prognosis. It promotes glioma cell proliferation and angiogenesis by upregulating EZH2 through sponging miR-101-3p to induce VEGFA expression.

Summary: The study identified a novel regulatory loop miR-101/ANXA2/EGR1 in LCSCs, showing that increasing miR-101 expression repressed metastasis and tumorigenic potential by targeting ANXA2. In vivo experiments demonstrated potent inhibitory effects of miR-101 overexpression on the growth of LCSCs xenograft tumors.

Summary: Exosomal miRNAs, such as miR-101-3p and miR-423-5p, play important roles as tumor suppressors in mediating the progression of medulloblastoma by inhibiting proliferation, migration, and invasion of tumor cells, and promoting apoptosis. These exosomal miRNAs can be delivered to tumor cells via exosomes and directly target genes like FOXP4 and EZH2, reinforcing their tumor inhibitory effects. Overexpression of miR-101-3p and miR-423-5p has been shown to inhibit tumorigenesis in vivo in a xenograft mouse model, indicating a potential therapeutic approach for the treatment of children with medulloblastoma.

Summary: In this study, it was found that EZH2 gene knockdown in sheep pituitary cells led to decreased cell proliferation, increased apoptosis, and reduced FSH secretion. These effects were mediated through the modulation of the AKT/ERK signaling pathway.

Summary: MicroRNA-101 (miR-101) is a tumor suppressor microRNA associated with various diseases, but its role in hypertrophic scars (HS) remained unclear. Research showed that low miR-101 expression in HS and HSF, overexpressing miR-101 reduced collagen expression in HSF, while high EZH2 expression was detected in HS and HSF. MiR-101 targeted EZH2 to suppress collagen deposition in HS.

Summary: A study found that the proliferation of trophoblasts in early-onset preeclampsia (ePE) is regulated by lncRNA MALAT1. The level of MALAT1 was decreased in placental tissue samples from ePE patients, and it was positively correlated with neonate birth-weight. Knockdown of MALAT1 inhibited trophoblast cell growth and migration, and promoted cell apoptosis. Moreover, MALAT1 reduction affected cell proliferation and growth through the regulation of miR-101-3p and VEGFA.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of miR-124-3p on prostate cancer cell proliferation, infiltration, and apoptosis. The results showed that miR-124-3p inhibits PCa proliferation and invasion by targeting EZH2, and promotes cell apoptosis. This study suggests that miR-124-3p may have potential therapeutic implications in prostate cancer.

Summary: The study demonstrates a tumor-suppressive role of miR-199b-5p in invasion and metastasis of PCa by inhibiting DDR1 expression and EMT, leading to poor prognosis in patients. Additionally, the miR-199b-5p-DDR1-ERK signaling axis represents a novel mechanism for regulating EMT in PCa metastases.

Summary: This study identified that Xist regulates macrophage polarization by competing with miR-101, affecting cell proliferation and migration of breast and ovarian cancer. The upregulation of Xist in M1 macrophages and the inhibition of miR-101 in M2 macrophages may play a crucial role in inhibiting the proliferation and migration abilities of breast and ovarian tumors.
