Summary: This study examines the carbon emissions of Belt and Road countries and their relationship with China's technology spillovers. Using the STIRPAT and GWTR models, the study finds that China's foreign direct investment and migration technology spillovers increase carbon emissions in Belt and Road countries, while imported technology spillovers decrease carbon emissions. Therefore, government policies on low-carbon technology should take into account regional characteristics and the impact of technology.

Summary: This study examines the carbon reduction performance of transportation along the Silk Road Economic Belt (SREB) in China using data envelopment analysis. The results show that carbon reduction performance has improved due to advancements in transportation technology. Technical efficiency has a positive impact on carbon reduction, while lagging technological progress restricts carbon reduction performance. Additionally, there are regional differences in carbon reduction performance, with southwest provinces performing the best and northeast provinces performing the worst. Therefore, the government should implement technology-oriented policies to improve technical efficiency and progress in transportation, ultimately reducing carbon emissions.

Summary: This study aims to analyze the characteristics of carbon emissions and the trend of carbon peaking in countries along the Belt and Road, as well as the relationship between economic development and carbon emissions. The results show that some countries have already achieved carbon peaking, while most of the others have not. The approach to carbon peaking varies among different country groups due to differences in economic development level and industrial structure. The decoupling situation analysis indicates that the relationship between economic growth and carbon emissions in countries along the Belt and Road has been improving in recent decades.
