Summary: The long-term effects of low and moderate doses of ionizing radiation on the lens remain debated, with a study on B6C3F1 mice revealing no significant increase in posterior subcapsular cataracts (PSCs) after exposure to doses below 0.5 Gy. Factors such as sex and aging had a clearer effect on the lenses compared to radiation and genotype. Metabolomics analyses showed a sex effect in plasma samples, suggesting a complex interplay of factors in the development of PSCs.

Summary: This article reports a case of optic neuropathy caused by pembrolizumab. Prompt treatment with high-dose steroids is necessary to prevent persistent loss of visual acuity. Combination therapy with steroids and mycophenolate mofetil showed significant success in treating steroid-refractory optic neuropathy.

Summary: A case of painless posterior scleritis presenting as a choroidal nodule in a patient treated with pembrolizumab was reported. The findings were analyzed and a literature review was performed. It was concluded that clinicians should be aware of this ocular complication associated with the use of pembrolizumab.

Summary: ICI-induced myocarditis is rare but fatal, and its clinical course can be understood through case reports. We report a case of pembrolizumab-induced myocarditis and document the electrocardiographic changes from onset to death. The patient was admitted with pericardial effusion and was diagnosed with mild COVID-19. Despite treatment, she developed polymorphic ventricular tachycardia and died.

Summary: This case describes a rare occurrence of bullous pemphigoid associated with pembrolizumab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor used in the treatment of various malignant tumors. The patient developed severe skin reactions which were alleviated with glucocorticoid treatment. Increased awareness and early identification of cutaneous adverse effects of immunotherapy are essential to manage the toxicity effectively.

Summary: FSGS is a common primary glomerular disorder that can be caused by pembrolizumab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor used for advanced melanoma. This case study highlights the importance of monitoring renal function and considering kidney biopsy in patients treated with PD-1 inhibitors who develop renal injury or unexplained proteinuria. Treatment based on guidelines can lead to resolution of nephrotic syndrome in such cases.

Summary: Pulmonary actinomycosis (PA) is a rare, asymptomatic, and often misdiagnosed pulmonary infectious disease. Despite extensive regular and invasive testing, significant intermittent hemoptysis, and repeated bronchial artery embolization, our patient remained undiagnosed. A left lower lobectomy was performed via video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, and histopathological examination revealed an actinomycete infection.
