Summary: The quality of international students' cultivation system is crucial for the sustainable development of higher education in China. This study explores the opinions of 23 international students from 6 higher education institutions in China through qualitative interviews. The findings suggest that the cultivation quality of international students needs improvement and their funding support should be diversified. It is recommended that the government enhance the enrollment mechanism and cultivate a diverse system, optimize the concept of overseas students' cultivation, establish administrative management and supervision, establish dynamic monitoring of the scholarship system, and optimize the use of funds by establishing a multi-channel funding system.

Summary: More than one-quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture, forestry, and land-use change. Transforming agriculture into low-carbon food systems requires larger investments in low emission development options and innovative financing mechanisms that integrate climate finance, agriculture development budgets, and private sector investment. These investment cases provide valuable information for implementing mitigation options in agriculture and strengthening links between financial institutions, farmers, and agribusiness to support the transition to market-based solutions.

Summary: Using scenarios is crucial in identifying and specifying measures for successful energy system transformation, particularly when faced with opposition from stakeholders. However, the process of considering stakeholders' perspectives can be time-consuming and costly. In our study, we demonstrate how multi-criteria decision analysis can be utilized to analyze stakeholders' attitudes toward transition paths without extensive empirical work.

Summary: The issue of assessment in Malaysian international schools is investigated through a qualitative study. Interviews with primary-age children, their parents, and their teachers revealed test anxiety among the children, perception of difficult exams, and strict examiners. Parents complained about unfair difficulty, lack of transparency and feedback, and excessive test frequency. Teachers believed they assessed both formative and summative; however, formative assessment results did not contribute to students' final assessment reports. This case highlights the need for reconsideration of assessment practices in Malaysia.

Summary: This study examines stakeholder satisfaction with the Indonesia-EU FLEGT-VPA scheme, addressing illegal logging. Quantitative data analysis shows that stakeholders are satisfied with sustainable forest management, new market opportunities, timber legality, and law enforcement, but slightly satisfied with social safeguards. Timber legality has the highest impact on stakeholder satisfaction. Qualitative data analysis reveals stakeholder agreement on the scheme's implementation for sustainable forest management, improved legality and traceability, good governance, and social safeguards, although with less emphasis on new market opportunities. Challenges identified include administrative issues, low product recognition, and the absence of incentives for FLEGT-licensed exporters.

Summary: Exchange rate volatility decreases following the establishment of a trade deal, primarily due to a reduction in systematic risk. On average, trade deals lead to a 50% increase in trade over a five-year period and reduce systematic risk by one-third of a standard deviation among countries. In an Armington model, we analyze the connection between trade networks and exchange rate risk, finding that peripheral countries benefit the most from lower trade barriers and that a hypothetical trade war between the US and China would increase global currency risk, primarily affecting peripheral countries.
