Herein, magnetic chitosan was selected as base and modified with cyanuric chloride/melamine and in other approach functionalized with 5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde/cyanuric chloride. These hybrids were used as green, available and easily removal supports for hosting cobalt nanoparticles. Heterogonous, inexpensive and efficient catalysts was applied in Heck and C-N coupling reactions under mild reaction conditions and compared together. These palladium/copper and phosphine-free catalysts can be reused for several successive runs without significant decrease in their catalytic activities.
